Family health

Disease means illness or disorder of the body or mind .the agents causing diseases
are called pathogens.

Types of diseases

1. Infectious diseases
2. Deficiency diseases
3. Hereditary diseases
4. Physiological diseases
Mode of spread of diseases
1. Diseases are spread through droplet infection.
2. Through contaminated food and water
3. Through skin contact
4. Through insect/ animal bites.
Vector

Vector are animals which transmit disease – causing organisms [pathogens] from
an infected person to an uninfected person without being infected. Examples are
:Mosquito, rat ,housefly, tsetse fly.etc.
