ASME B36.19 - Stainless Steel Pipe.

Pipe Size up to 2 inches are considered “small


bore pipe” while 2 inches above are considered
“large bore pipe”.

Pipe Ends:
Plain Ends - Socket type welding fittings are
used.
Beveled Ends - Used when butt type weld
fittings are used.
Threaded Ends - Kind of end used with threaded
connections.
Socket and Spigot Ends - Generally used in
ductile iron pipeline and non metallic pipes such
as PVC, GRE/GRP.
