Event Name: Celebration of Basanta Utsav

Date: 16th March, 2019

Venue: Elitte College of Engineering

Objective: Basanta Utsav, also known as Holi, is a


vibrant and colourful festival celebrated allover India. The festival
marks the arrival of spring and the end of winter. It is a celebration
of life, love, and the coming of the new season. The festival is held
annually in the month of March and is one of the most important
cultural events for Indian citizen.
Event Details: On this special occasion the programme
started at 12 noon onwards the programme started with a Tagore
song based on Dolyatra and the season of Spring. The program
designed with the songs, recitations, dances, speeches and other
relevant performances.

Audience and performer number: 20 numbers of students and 20


numbers of faculty members were present in the programme. 30
numbers of audience were there.

Conclusion: The event was well organised in


association with Principal, HODs and students. Special kudos to the
staff members for their tireless effort to make the occasion a great
success.

Event Name: Celebration of NETAJI BIRTH DAY
Date: 23rd January, 2019

Objective: Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Jayanti, or Subhas


Chandra Bose's birthday, is celebrated on 23rd January every year to
remember and honour Netaji's vigour as one of the greatest freedom
fighters of India. This day tributes the birth of India's most
celebrated revolutionary and visionary freedom fighter, who spent
his entire life fighting for the independence and honour of his
nation. People across India celebrate this day in unity; some states
even hold a public holiday. Subhash Chandra Bose was a man of
great courage and willpower; he was a true son of his motherland, a
scholar, a patriot, a leader, an intellectual, a visionary, a socialist,
and a warrior. His untiring efforts for the freedom of his nation
earned him the most significant and most respected title of all time,
Netaji.

Event Details: The programme started with a patriotic song sung by


the present members at 12 noon. Convener and Principal, ECE
delivered their speech on victory and devotion of Netaji Subhash
Chandra Bose. The tribute ended up with garlanding to the image of
Netaji and wreath to him.

Audience and performer number: 12 numbers of students and 4


numbers of faculty members were present in the programme.10

Event Name: Celebration of Rabindra Jayanti

Date: 9th May, 2019

Venue: Elitte College of Engineering


Objective: Rabindranath Tagore Jayanti is a
significant celebration that marks the birth anniversary of the
renowned Indian poet, writer, and philosopher Rabindranath
Tagore. This day holds immense cultural and literary significance in
India as Tagore is considered one of the most influential figures in
Indian literature and a pioneer of Bengali literature. On this day,
people pay tribute to his literary and cultural contributions, which
continue to inspire creative minds even today. His works reflect the
rich cultural heritage of India and promote the idea of unity in
diversity.
Event Details: On this special occasion the programme
started at 12 noon onwards the programme by garlanding the image
of Kaviguru by one of the attendees. All the attendees expressed
their worship by wreathing flower scarps before Tagore. The
prgramme was decorated with the songs, dances and drama of
Rabindranath. The programme was ended up with the speech of
HODs and other members of the committee.
Audience and performer number: 15 numbers of students and all
faculty members were present in the programme. 20 numbers of
audience were there.

Event Name: Celebration of Independence Day

Date: 15th August, 2018

Venue: Elitte College of Engineering

Objective: Independence Day is an occasion for all of


us to come together and celebrate the spirit of unity and diversity
that makes our country great. Observing Independence Day allows
us to reflect on the progress made by India as a nation over the past
several years.

Event Details: On this special occasion the programme


started at 10.30 AM with flag hoisting by Dr. S. Ray, Principal of our
college. All the faculty members, staff members and students
saluted our National Flag and sang National Anthem.

A colourful programme presented by the students by performing


recitation, songs, dances and speech delivery about our freedom
fighters and martyr of our country. Some words delivered by Head
of the departments and the programme concluded by the convener
with her congratulation to all the participants and expressed her
gratitude to all.

Audience and performer number: 10 numbers of students and 5


numbers of faculty members were present in the programme. 15
numbers of audience were there.

Event Name: Celebration of Republic Day
Date: 26th January, 2019
Venue: Elitte College of Engineering

Objective: 26th january Republic Day is one of the


most important national events in India. It is celebrated every year
on January 26th and marks the adoption of the Constitution of
India, which came into effect on this day in 1950. The day is not only
a commemoration of India becoming a republic but also a
celebration of the ideals of justice, liberty and equality which our
freedom fighters and makers of the constitution stood by.

Event Details: The celebration started with flag hoisting


and garlanding to the stand of National Flag of our country by
present members of the committee. Students and other participants
sang patriotic song and National Anthem before the National Flag.
Some theme related program were performed by faculty members
and students. The program ended by saluting the National Flag.

Audience and performer number: 12 numbers of students and 4


numbers of faculty members were present in the programme.10

Event Name: Celebration of Saraswati Puja

Date: 10th February, 2019

Venue: Elitte College of Engineering

Objective: One of the most worshipped goddesses of


India, Maa Saraswati, is said to be the ‘Devi of knowledge and
intelligence. According to Hindu Mythology, Goddess Saraswati is
believed to be the daughter of Lord Brahma. She is one of the most
revered deities in Hinduism and is known as the Goddess of
knowledge, music, arts, and wisdom. Therefore, this puja is very
much connected to the educational institutes.

Event Details: Puja started by pujari Debnath Ganguly at


8.30 AM. All devotees gave pushpanjali before deity of Saraswati.
After completion of puja, prasada distributed to the students and all
present members. The academic and non-academic activities has
been suspended on that day.

Audience and performer number: 20 numbers of students and 10


numbers of faculty members were present in the programme. 20
numbers of audience were there.

Conclusion: The event was well organised in


association with Principal, HODs and students. Special kudos to the
staff members for their tireless effort to make the occasion a great

Event Name: Celebration of Vishwakarma Puja

Date: 17-18 September, 2018

Venue: Elitte College of Engineering

Objective: Vishvakarma is considered to be the divine


architect of the universe and the personification of divine creativity
in the Rigveda. He is credited with the construction of the city of
Dvaraka for Krishna, the palace of Indraprastha for the Pandavas,
and many fabulous weapons for the gods, such as the Sudarshana
Chakra of Vishnu, the trishula of Shiva, and the lance of Kartikeya.
He is also regarded to have authored the Sthapatya Veda, the
science of mechanics and architecture. Therefore, this puja is very
much connected to the Engineering colleges.

Event Details: Puja started by pujari Debnath Ganguly at


8.30 AM. All devotees gave pushpanjali before deity of
Vishwakarma. After completion of puja, prasada distributed to the
students and all present member. The 2nd day deity of Vishwakarma
immersed by the students nearby pond of the college.

Audience and performer number: 20 numbers of students and 10


numbers of faculty members were present in the programme. 20
numbers of audience were there.

Conclusion: The event was well organised in

Objective: National Youth Day observed to empower


the teaching and aspirations of greatest spiritual leader and
philosopher “Swami Vivekananda”. To encourage the young mind
for nation building and development through higher aims, is the
aim to observe this day. It is also called “Rashtriya Yuva Divas”.

Event Details: On this special occasion the programme


started at 12 noon onwards the programme started with garlanding
the image of Swami Viveknanda by one of the attendees. All the
attendees expressed their worship by wreathing flower scarps
before Swamiji. Some students delivered their speech to inspire our
young aspirants to follow the lessons of Swami Vivekananda.

Audience and performer number: 12 numbers of students and 4


numbers of faculty members were present in the programme. 10
numbers of audience were there.

Conclusion: The event was well organised in

knowledge, music, arts, and wisdom. Therefore, this puja is very
much connected to the educational institutes.

Event Details: Puja started by pujari Debnath Ganguly at


8.30 AM. All devotees gave pushpanjali before deity of Saraswati.
After completion of puja, prasada distributed to the students and all
present members. The academic and non-academic activities has
been suspended on that day.

Dvaraka for Krishna, the palace of Indraprastha for the Pandavas,
and many fabulous weapons for the gods, such as the Sudarshana
Chakra of Vishnu, the trishula of Shiva, and the lance of Kartikeya.
He is also regarded to have authored the Sthapatya Veda, the
science of mechanics and architecture. Therefore, this puja is very

It was an auspicious day for students, to celebrate Teachers’ Day which
marks the birth of the great teacher Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishan.
“Teacher” is defined as a Motivational candle of student’s life.
Event Details: On this special occasion the programme
started at 12 noon onwards the programme started with “Guru Vandana”
which dedicated to our teachers. The program designed with the songs,
recitations, dances, speeches and other relevant performances by the
students. Students worshiped our teachers with Chandan, flower stick
and gifts as a token of love.

Audience and performer number: 24 numbers of students and 20


numbers of faculty members were present in the programme. 30 numbers
of audience were there.

Conclusion: The event was well organised in association with


Principal, HODs and students. Special kudos to the staff members for
their tireless effort to make the occasion a great success.

Event Name: Celebration of Vishwakarma Puja

Date: 17-18 September, 2022

Venue: Elitte College of Engineering

Objective: Vishvakarma is considered to be the divine


architect of the universe and the personification of divine creativity
in the Rigveda. He is credited with the construction of the city of
Dvaraka for Krishna, the palace of Indraprastha for the Pandavas,
and many fabulous weapons for the gods, such as the Sudarshana
Chakra of Vishnu, the trishula of Shiva, and the lance of Kartikeya.
He is also regarded to have authored the Sthapatya Veda, the
science of mechanics and architecture. Therefore, this puja is very
much connected to the Engineering colleges.

Event Details: Puja started by pujari Debnath Ganguly at


8.30 AM. All devotees gave pushpanjali before deity of
Vishwakarma. After completion of puja, prasada distributed to the
students and all present members. The 2nd day, deity of
Vishwakarma immersed by the students nearby pond of the college.
The academic and non-academic activities were suspended on the
both days.

Event Name: Celebration of National Youth Day

Date: 12th January, 2023

Venue: Elitte College of Engineering

Objective: National Youth Day observed to empower


the teaching and aspirations of greatest spiritual leader and
philosopher “Swami Vivekananda”. To encourage the young mind
for nation building and development through higher aims, is the
aim to observe this day. It is also called “Rashtriya Yuva Divas”.

Event Details: On this special occasion the programme


started at 12.30 PM onwards the programme by garlanding the
image of Swami Viveknanda by committee members. All the
attendees expressed their worship by wreathing flower scarps
before Swamiji.

Audience and performer number: 8 numbers of faculty members


and 5 numbers of students were present in the programme. 3
numbers of audience were there.

Conclusion: The event was well organised in


association with Principal, HODs and students. Special kudos to the
