Task 1
Document

1 Open the file STORAGE.rtf

The page setup is set to A4, portrait orientation with 2 centimetre margins.
Do not make any changes to these settings. Three paragraph styles have
already been created. Do not make any changes to these unless instructed.

Save the document in your work area, in the format of the software you are
using, with the file name NameClassSTORE.docx

Take a screenshot to show this file has been saved including evidence of the
file type.

2 Place in the header your name, class, right aligned.

Place in the footer automated page numbers centre aligned.

Make sure that:

• the header is right aligned to the page margin


• the footer is centre aligned between the page margins
• no other text or placeholders are included in the header or footer areas
• headers and footers are displayed on all pages
• set the Storage.rtf to be “2 columns,calibril,12” Justify align text to both left
and right margin

3. Place a text box at the top of the paragraph that starts If you can

Align the text box to the top of the paragraph and the right margin of the
document.

Wrap the text to make sure that no text is hidden behind the text box.

Locate the file EXTRA.docx and place the contents of this file into the text
box.

Format this text as HD-body paragraph style and make it bold.

Make sure that all the text is visible and words are not split over lines in the
text box.

Format the text box with a light grey background and a 3–4 point thick line. It
may look like this

Format the image so that:
• it is resized to half the column width with its aspect ratio maintained

Task 2 - Website Authoring

Create a new folder called m22_yrname_html

Locate the following files and store them in your m22_yrname_html folder.
m22banner
m22eagle.jpg
m22flag.png
m22lake.mp4
m22styles.css
m22text.txt

Display the contents of your m22_yrname_html folder showing the folder


name, all file names, file extensions, file sizes, image dimensions and, for the
video, the frame height and frame width. Take a screenshot of this folder
making sure that the required information is clearly visible.

Place this screenshot in your Evidence Document.

You are going to create a web page and stylesheet about Lake Naivasha.

The web page and stylesheet must work in any browser.


Make sure that your stylesheet contains no HTML.
Make your HTML and stylesheet as efficient as possible.

1 Create, in your m22_html folder, a web page called Lake Naivasha.htm

This web page must be created using a single table and must work in all
browsers.

2. The table must be centre aligned and fit 80% of the browser window.

The table must have a structure as shown in this diagram:

C Width = 35%

Each table cell is identified with a letter.


Some dimensions are shown.
These must be set as percentage values.
Do not set the height of cells B, C, D or E.
The cell contents shown in the diagram must not appear on your final web
page.
Table borders must appear on the final web page.

12 Create a new stylesheet so that:

• the table is centre aligned within the browser window


• all table cells have padding set to 10 pixels
• all table elements have the spaces between the borders set to 10 pixels
• the top margin above the table is set to 173 pixels
• your name and class are set as a comment at the end of the stylesheet.

Make sure that your stylesheet contains no HTML or scripting language. Save
this stylesheet, in your m22_yrname folder, in cascading stylesheet format as
styles_name Attach this stylesheet to your web page

Take a screenshot to show the file name and all contents of your stylesheet
and place this in your Evidence Document. Make sure the file name and all
contents are clearly visible.
