DICOM SR Map
Optional Feature
Overview
DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) is a standard developed by the
American College of Radiology (ACR) and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association
(NEMA) for handling, storing, printing, and transmitting information in medical imaging.
The DICOM interface allows the PowerScribe 360 | Reporting system to communicate more easily
with external system and share data, in an industry standard format. It allows external vendors to send
DICOM SR (Structured Report) objects to PowerScribe 360 | Reporting, and allows PowerScribe 360
| Reporting to query external systems for DICOM SR objects.
Audience
This document is designed for PowerScribe 360 | Reporting providers. It explains how to create
