TASK 1: #SAY IT FORWARD
The learners will say “Hello/Good Morning” in different languages. They
will take turns until all of them greet one another.
They will answer this question after doing the activity.
1. How do you find the activity?
CHARACTERISTIC: Culture is VARIETY.
Every society has a culture of its own that differs from other societies.
The culture of every society is unique by itself. Cultures are not uniform.
Cultural elements like customs, traditions, morals, values, and beliefs are not
constant.

TASK 2: #WALANG FOREVER

Change is inevitable because it is the law of nature.
Since change is already happening at present, let us realize how social
change occurs because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Tell the changes
on some aspects of your life by completing the table below .

Before COVID-19 During COVID-19

Way of life
View of the world
Priorities in life
Relationships with
others

Answer the following questions:

1. Can we consider these changes as examples of social change? Why or why
not?
2. Aside from the government, how do you think other sectors of the
community
like schools, churches, and industries, can cope with these changes?

3. What are your fears related to this unexpected event in your life? How do
you
deal with your worries during this time of COVID-19 pandemic?
Note: Please observe health protocols like wearing a face mask,
physical distancing and hand sanitizing.

CHARACTERISTIC: Culture is ADAPTIVE or DYNAMIC.

Culture is always changing, new ideas, procedures and techniques are
added, modified or discarded. People must be prepared and ready to
conform to these changes.
TASK 3: Let the learners watch the video #BecomingFilipino.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=biU2loDlY_I&t=8s
CHARACTERISTIC: Culture is LEARNED.
Culture is not inborn. It is learned. Unlearned behavior then, is not
culture. Shaking hands, saying thanks, etc. are cultural behaviors. Not all
behaviors are learned, but most of these can be. Combing hair, standing in
line, telling jokes, criticizing the president, and going to movies all constitute
behaviors that need to be learned.

D. Finding practical applications of concepts and skills in daily living

As a senior High School learner, how are you going to save our culture
from extinction for the next generation and in order to maintain our unique
cultural identity? Share your thoughts by making writing a poem. Publish
your output by posting it on your FB wall for others to read it.

ACROSS CURRICULUM: Creative Writing is one of the subjects in the

Senior High School.
Learning Competency: Write a short poem applying the various
elements and literary devices exploring innovative techniques.
(HUMSS _CW/MP11/12CF-10).

the format below.
