Learning Objectives:

By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:


• Recognize and name at least 8 fruits in English.
• Use “I like / I don’t like…” structures.
• Ask and answer basic questions about fruits.

Target Vocabulary:
• Apple, banana, orange, pear, watermelon,
grapes, strawberry, pineapple

Lesson Stages:

1. Warm-Up (5 mins)

Activity: “Guess the Fruit” (Mime Game)


• Teacher mimes eating or peeling a fruit.
• Students guess: “Is it an apple?”

2. Presentation (7–10 mins)

Method: Visual & Audio Support


• Show flashcards or PowerPoint with fruits.
• Say each fruit’s name clearly; students repeat.
• Play a short audio song or video (like “I like to
eat apples and bananas”).
• Ask students to show thumbs up or down for
fruits they like.

3. Practice Activities (15 mins)

c. Activity 3: “I Like / I Don’t Like” Pair Work (5 mins)


• Students work in pairs.
• Ask each other: “Do you like bananas?”
• Answer: “Yes, I like bananas” / “No, I don’t like
bananas.”
• Use visuals or mini cards if needed.

4. Production (10 mins)

Activity: My Fruit Salad – Drawing & Speaking


• Students draw a bowl of 3–4 fruits they like.
• Present: “In my fruit salad, I have apples,
grapes, and strawberries.”
