Fire Safety Compliance Report
Fire Safety Compliance Report
The project will comply with the requirements outlined in the Fire Code of the Philippines,
particularly regarding the necessary fire suppression systems. Since the fire suppression system
required for this project is fire extinguishers only, the design will ensure proper placement and
maintenance of the extinguishers throughout the building.
• Fire Extinguishers: The following fire extinguishers will be installed to meet the required
standards for fire safety:
o Type of Fire Extinguisher: The project will use dry chemical fire extinguishers,
which are effective for most fire types in residential buildings (Class A, B, and C
fires).
▪ One fire extinguisher will be installed in the garage or utility area, where
electrical or flammable materials may pose a risk.
▪ One fire extinguisher will be placed near the electrical panels for easy
access in case of an electrical fire.
▪ Additional extinguishers will be strategically placed in common areas like
hallways or stairwells, ensuring that no area is more than 15 meters away
from an extinguisher.
• Fire Doors:
Fire-rated doors will be installed in certain areas, especially between the kitchen and
living spaces, to slow the spread of fire. These doors will be designed to close
automatically if a fire is detected.
• Electrical Safety:
All electrical systems will follow the requirements of the National Electrical Code to
minimize the risk of electrical fires. Circuit breakers and properly rated electrical wiring
will be used to avoid overloading and overheating.
To enhance safety, fire safety training will be conducted for all residents. This training will cover:
• Basic fire prevention tips, including safe cooking and electrical practices.
Once the building design is finalized, the plans will be submitted to the Bureau of Fire Protection
(BFP) for approval. The BFP will inspect the fire safety features, including the placement of fire
extinguishers, and issue a Fire Safety Inspection Certificate (FSIC) once the project is deemed
compliant.
• Proper Signage:
Emergency exit routes and locations of fire extinguishers should be clearly marked with
illuminated signs. This will help occupants quickly identify the nearest exit or
extinguisher in case of emergency.
7. Conclusion
The proposed two-storey residence located at Block 4, Lot 14, Hampton Orchards, Bacolor,
Pampanga, will comply with the Fire Code of the Philippines by implementing the necessary fire
safety measures. Since the fire suppression system required is fire extinguishers only, these will
be strategically placed throughout the building in compliance with regulations. In addition to
fire extinguishers, the building will be equipped with proper fire exits, fire-rated doors, and
electrical safety measures to ensure the safety of the occupants.
