Introduction
E-commerce is a service offered by Acquiring banks to their customers from merchants or
companies interested in accepting transactions over the Internet, via their website or mobile
applications.

It is the process of selling and buying goods and services electronically via internet, which is
different from traditional purchase transactions which requires physical presence of a payment
instrument holder at the store or the company.

E-commerce transactions may be fulfilled using different types of payment cards and mobile
wallets, etc.
