CHAPTER 1: EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
The community service report shall have only a one-page executive summary. It shall include
A brief description of the Community and summary of all activities done by the student in CSP
Air pollution increases morbidity and mortality from cardiovascular and respiratory disease
And from lung cancer, with increasing evidence of effects on other organ systems. The burden
Of disease resulting from air pollution also imposes a significant economic burden.
More than 15 years have passed since the publication of Global update 2005. In that time there
Has been a marked increase in evidence on the adverse health effects of air pollution, built on
Advances in air pollution measurement and exposure assessment and an expanded global
In order to reduce the pollution in the Air we had to do something that would help in reducing
The Air pollution. So,the first thing we did was to go near a factory and find the main reason of
What the factory was producing that it’s causing this much pollution in Air.
CHAPTER 2: OVERVIEW OF THE COMMUNITY
Place: Palamaner
We went to this place called melumai which was near to my home town Palamaner. Which had
A factor running which was releasing more smoke and dust into the air that had many chemicals
First, we didn’t go much near to the factory because we also had to keep our health condition
Good in order to continue the project. We went around the villages and fields that were near to
The factory to see how was the condition. Because the surroundings tell how bad or moderate
The condition is. We saw some bad cropped fields and some parts of that were only green.
The Water near to it was not drinkable. It was polluted by the wastes from the factory. The
Animals that were present near there were not in a good health. The villages were a bit far from
The factory and that was a bit relief to know that they were aware of the situation that it could
harm their health
