CHAPTER IV

EVALUATION OF THE TRAINING EXPERIENCES

Insights Gained

Internship was indeed helpful because it gives the

trainee a chance to apply all the knowledge and skills she

has learn at her educational institutions in a practical way.

Training also helps student trainees to learn and adapt new

skills, in technical and interpersonal aspects, like working

in a team or communicating with others more effectively. This

also leads to meeting new opportunities that leads to

successful future careers.

The most important achievement the trainee has attained

was able to contribute to the creation of the Comprehensive

Land Use Plan. This important plan will be utilized in the

future developments of the trainee’s hometown. This

significant achievement made a vital impact in the trainee’s

development and the organization as well. The trainee was

able to apply the critical skills and knowledge that has been

undergoing progress throughout the internship. That one big

chance made a sense of fulfillment and the trainee gain

recognition by proving the ability to handle real-world

challenges.

During the internship, dealing with such various data

and different workloads grabbed the trainee’s interest.

Working in fast-paced working environment with lots of

workloads to deal was not easy. This stressful situation

amazed the trainee how the department head and the employees

could easily handle it with ease.

The trainee thinks that there is a need to be more

conscious on completing a task immediately. In this cause,

the trainee must improve on his/her keyboarding skills and

those that requires technical skills such as making files or

documents, making presentations and editing.

There is no particular thing or situation that the

trainee dislikes on the training environment. The assigned

office ensures that the trainee is comfortable and well-

guided on working the assigned tasks.

The most difficult aspect of the internship is

Multitasking. Since the assigned office handles many

workloads than imagine, there is no chance of avoiding being

in a stressful situation on how and when your workload would

be finished. There are also cases that it took time, days or

even a week to finish all those workloads.

The difficulty cannot be avoided but can be manage. The

trainee was taught by the mentor and staff on how to deal

with the situation. Proper work and time management were the

skills and learning that the trainee has adapted.

The trainee would definitely consider the

training establishment as one of the university’s linkages

especially when it comes to training the student interns

on public service and office work. The training station

is a best choice if the student has great interest on

working on a fast-paced work place.

CHAPTER V

RECOMMENDATIONS

There are certain things that the trainee could

recommend for the improvement of the Internship program.

The most important one is to reconsider the curriculum

to enhance the student’s educational experience. The school

could consider its collaborative partner institutions on what

necessary skills and knowledge could they impart on the

students and be applied during their internship.

The school could also provide training workshops or

educational tours/seminars in preparation for internship.

This could help to enhance the skills both technical and other

skills relevant to their respective roles or field of study.

This could benefit not only the university by producing

competent interns but also the student trainee for they could

possibly gain significant recognition and praise for their

good performance and outputs. This will help secure their

future careers as professionals.

As you began your On-The-Job Training or Internship,

remember to equip yourselves with skills and knowledge for

the training. Choose your training station considering your

interest and talents. During training, take advantage of the

opportunities and situations where you can learn and apply

what you have learned. Do not forget to seek help and advice

from your superiors. Be attentive to the instructions and

reminders they gave. Do not be afraid to take on challenges

for it will develop you and your skills and these could be a

benefit on the future careers of your choice.

Most important, do not forget to train with desire to

learn and contribute, to enjoy every assigned task and a

positive attitude on each day until the end.
