problem is particularly important in areas such as electronics cooling, heat exchangers, and
aerospace engineering.
The study aims to demonstrate how ANSYS software can be effectively used to solve such
problems, ensuring precise temperature predictions and heat flux distribution across the
solid-fluid interface.
2. Methodology:
● Define the problem statement, including material properties and boundary conditions.
● Create a2D geometryin ANSYS DesignModeler, consisting of both asolid domain

● Assign thermal properties to the solid material (thermal conductivity, specific heat, and
density).
● Assign fluid properties such as density, viscosity, thermal conductivity, and specific heat
for accurate convection modeling.
● Solve the governing equations for heat conduction (solid domain) and Navier-Stokes
equations for fluid flow (fluid domain).
● Use ANSYS Fluent or ANSYS CFX to couple the solid and fluid solutions.
● Monitor convergence criteria, including temperature, velocity, and heat flux residuals.

4. Conclusion:
This study successfully demonstrated the application of ANSYS in solving a 2-dimensional
conjugate heat transfer problem by coupling solid conduction and fluid convection in a
computationalenvironment.Theresultsprovideinsightsintohowheatistransferredbetweena

meshing techniques.
The study confirms that ANSYS is a powerful tool for solving CHT problems, enabling
engineers to optimize thermal performance in practical applications. Future work can extend
this approach to 3D models, transient simulations, and advanced turbulence modeling for
enhanced accuracy in real-world scenarios.
