the correct answer
Light bulbs have been around for a long time, and they have changed
a lot since they were first invented. A long time ago, people used candles
or oil lamps to light their homes at night. But in the 1800s, inventors
started working on ways to create a brighter and more efficient light
source.
Humphry Davy made the first electric bulb in 1802, but it was too
bright and hot to use. Thomas Edison worked on a better design, and in
1879, he made the first commercially successful light bulb that people
could use at home. Edison used a filament made of bamboo that could
burn for a long time. This was a big deal because people could stop using
candles and gas lamps.
Light bulbs kept improving over the years. They used different gases
to make different colors, and the fluorescent bulb used less energy and
lasted longer. LED bulbs are popular now because they save energy and
last a long time. Today, we still use light bulbs in our daily lives, and
people are still working to make better ones.
