I'm deeply sorry for your loss. I can truly relate to what you’re feeling. Sadly, I
lost my parents. It’s a pain that feels overwhelming at times.

My late dad originally was from the Caribbean, he was a four star general in the US
Army before he died, when he was still alive we lived in Trinidad. I happen to be
the only child of my parents but he was not always with us "me and my mother", he
was always on peacekeeping missions serving his country.

My late mother was from Brooklyn NY, she died after a brief illness then my father
was still on a peacekeeping mission, he came for the funeral and after the funeral
he thought it would be very lonely for me to live in the house after the death of
my mother and he still had to continue with the peacekeeping mission.

So he asked his friend General Billy who was then living in Brooklyn if I could
come live with him in Brooklyn explaining his reasons to him, his friend was fine
with it, that was how I found myself in Brooklyn. After medical school, I completed
my residency in orthopedic surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and after my
residency I was still with General Billy. Then a MSF contract came up and he
shortlisted my name for the position of an orthopedic surgeon. That was how I got
my first contract with the MSF. I was in Afghanistan but before then I got married
and my ex wife was pregnant already before I left for Afghanistan for my training
report.

I want someone that couldn’t imagine life without me. Someone that we both always
love. Someone that I want to spend every day with and not get bored or tired of
that person. We make each other laugh, It gladdens my heart to have you as a new
