This project is one of the passing requirements for BMKU 2323. The project worth 30% of
the total coursework which include 5% of project proposal and 25% of final report.

2.0 OBJECTIVES
2.1 Product design and development using Computer Aided Design (CAD).
2.2 Enhance students’ skills on SolidWorks software.
2.3 Develop teamwork among group members.

3.0 SCOPE OF PROJECT

3.1 Group members
• Each group consists of no more than 4 students.
• Tasks shall be divided evenly among group members.
• Members who are not performing their role effectively shall be penalized.

• The design must be realistic, ergonomic, and suitable for mass production.
• The final design and its function must come from combination of any three products; for
example: table fan, radio and study lamp (these are the three main products that have
been selected at the first stage). Second stage: By using your own creativity, combine
these entire three products become one product together with the functions. You need
to come out with your own idea and design for this final product. Figure 1 shows an
example of this particular statement.
• You have to come out with:
- Orthographic drawings together with dimensions for each of a single part of the final
product.
- Assembly drawings (in a form of orthographic views). No dimensions are needed for
assembly drawings.
- Exploded of an assembly drawing (only isometric view) come together with
“balloons” and also “Bill of Materials” table. No dimensions are needed for exploded
drawings.
