2. Catalog Description:
Engineering Drawing
An engineering drawing course focuses on usage of drawing instruments, lettering,
construction of geometric shapes, etc. Students study use of dimensioning, shapes and
angles or views of such drawings. Dimensions feature prominently, with focus on
interpretation, importance and accurate reflection of dimensions in engineering drawing.
Other areas of study in this course may include projected views and development of
surfaces.

MECH_102– MECHANICAL DRAWING (6.0, Required)

2. Catalog Description:
MECHANICAL DRAWING
This course will enable the students to represent various mechanical parts, such as screws,
springs, and gears in engineering drawing. The course provides the students with basic
concepts of fits and tolerances with their applications in manufacturing and, installation,
maintenance, and repair of mechanical parts and systems. The course also include
assembly and disassembly drawing of mechanical machines and systems. The course
provide the student the knowledge of various welding and surface finish symbols.
