Summary:
The poem ‘Flying’ is written by J M Westrup. In this poem, the poet is describing the beauty of the moon and
telling that the moon travels around with us at night. It is more about a person who enjoys nature and doesn't care
about others thinking. Poet uses the metaphors as the example in this poem. He uses personification by giving
human qualities to the moon.

somebody / something has the same qualities as another thing.
For eg. She is an early bird.

Ans: The moon is compared with a toy balloon in the poem.

Q5. Why do you think the stars are chasing the moon?
Ans: The stars are chasing the moon because the moon, like a toy balloon has loosened its string and is running
away.
