Introduction
Bali is an island located in the Southeast Asia, and it belongs to the country
of Indonesia. Bali is known for its volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddles,
vibrant culture, and beautiful beaches. Today in 2025 the current population
in Bali is estimated to be around 4.4 million people. This makes the island
one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. Bali is a relatively
small island covering an area of 2330 square meters. It's 145 km long and
has a width measuring around 80km.

Seasonal Trends
Bali is well known for its seasonal trends. It is well characterized by high
temperatures and high humidity throughout the year. Bali is located near the
equator and has 2 distinct
seasons. One of them being the dry season which runs from April to October.
The second one being the rainy season which runs from November to March.
Dry seasons temperatures average between 27 degrees Celsius to 32
degrees Celsius. Wet seasons temperature averages around 26 degrees
Celsius to 28 degrees Celsius.

This graph represents the temperatures between each month. Blue
represents the minimum temperature of the month and red represents the
maximum temperature of the given month. Example: (January has a
minimum temperature of 24 degrees Celsius and its maximum temperature
reaches 31 degrees Celsius).
People ages (18-24)-around 5.1million people visit Bali each year in 2024
Main attractions:
Bali is known to be a popular destination mainly because of its attractions for
tourists. Bali is specifically known for its rich culture, food, natural beauty,
arts and even luxurious accommodations which can be priced at (1100$ a
night). It has many popular sites such as Water Bom Bali which technically is
an aquapark with many attractions for kids and adults with a fair price at
22$.
Waterfalls are also the mainstream of Bali; it has many popular waterfalls
such as the ‘’Aling Aling’’ the waterfall known for its natural beauty and
stunning views for tourists who have strong intimacy for waterfalls.
‘’The Aling Aling Waterfall’’
The Pura Ulun Danu Beratan Temple. This Temple was originally built in 1633
to honor the Hindu gods and the lake goddess knowns as (Dewi Danu) who
calls the beliefs system of water. This was essentially used as a ritual back
then. She is one of the two supreme duties in the Balinese tradition. The
Temple nowadays belongs to monks and tourists are welcomed by many
polite people and teach you valuable life lessons and history of the building
itself.

Tourism Type:
Bali is a mass tourism with a massive number of tourists visiting the country
per year. It attracts people due to its beautiful landmarks, natural beauty,
unique culture and affordability. While this has its limitations, for example:
Bali today suffers from overcrowding due to the enormous number of people
visiting it. In fact, it also suffers from Enviromental deration such as
deforestation, coral reef damage and pollution. Approximately 1.6 tones of
plastic waste are produced in Bali per year.
Bali is also an adventure tourism due to its great quantity of attractions for
tourists who are enthusiastic about exploring new adventures. With a huge
number of tourists attractions there shouldn’t be any problem with self-
discovery, which is why it takes number 1 spot for ‘’must travel’.
Impacts of tourism
Social: Tourists coming to Bali can affect cultures and local communities by
having to many people visiting it at once, for example: overcrowding the
simplest of all, too many people can create pollution, littering, traffic jams
and Enviornmental degrade. Tourism can increase costs of living, for
example: increased demand for food, housing which makes it expensive for
locals to afford. Tourism can also affect local tour guides, and due to the lack
of tourists it can result in difficulties with profit making.
Economic: Tourists coming to Bali can promote attractions which can gain a
lot of visitors, which can generate revenues, support local businesses and
create more job opportunities for people. This can help a lot with improving
the country's infrastructure and building new communities around many
different urban areas to reduce the amount of unemployment in the country.
Tourists tend to spend a lot of money in local shops which can encourage
shop owners to expand their shops, which may result in profit making.
Governments also gain revenues from tourism which can be reinvested into
healthcare, infrastructures and the overall country development.
‘’Unemployment rate in Bali’’
Unemployment rate in Bali (2024)- Bali is currently suffering a lot with
unemployment of people. Unemployment dropped drastically from 5.7% to
1.9%. I strongly believe Bali will find a successful way to overturn those
numbers and create more job opportunities for locals.
Enviromental:
Yes, tourism can have negative impacts on the country's environment, for
example pollution (mentioned in the 1st paragraph). Cars and other public
transport are the main causes of pollution. Over 45% of public transport
produces CO2 gas emission which is harmful to the environment.
Overcrowding is also the main cause of Enviromental damage, because huge
number of people in the country may cause traffic jams resulting in creating
more pollution and increase the number of CO2 gas emissions. Littering can
also be caused by huge amount of people in the region, because a lot of
foreigners may not respect the Enviromint, and trash wastes into the oceans
and many different places which leads to coral extinction and enormous
number of turtles decrease due to littering.
This pie chart represents Bali’s percentage of littering with different types of
materials
Sergey Vasilevich's review
Criteria: Tourist Statistics and Trends - 4
Alex provided accurate and exhaustive data about the Tourism on
Bali. However, there is a minor lack of an important detail, it could be more
extended on beach holidays (Bali’s main tourist attraction). It is excellent
that data is accompanied with well-labeled graphs.
Criteria: Tourism types and attractions – 4
Alex has shown that Bali’s tourism contents several. But there should
be more about beach holidays! (This is not very important, but it should be
here).
Criteria: Social economic and environmental impacts – 4
Alex has perfectly shown the impact of tourism on Bali, but this part
of text should be organized and show more style.
Criteria: Visual Representation (Graphs, Charts, Maps) – 4
Alex provided a lot of well-labeled graphs, pictures and diagrams, that
are relevant to the text. The minor part – there should be an actual map
(showing roads, infrastructure and terrain), to provide a better understanding
of how to reach the destinations. Add more style to the text!

Sustainability:
Maha Villa Ketaling does not necessary support energy saving solutions.
For this tour to Bali the bus is hybrid meaning that the bus uses both gasoline
engine and electrical motor to reduce fuel consumption and CO2 gas emission
which is harmful for the environment.
The tour will support local communities by eating at local restaurants rather than
international chains such as McDonalds, Kfc, Burger King, etc...
We will try to reduce the utilization of plastic bottles and carry reusable water
bottles to support the Enviromint.
Our Tour will try to encourage tourists to respect the cultures traditional dressing
code and tradition, we will refrain from any non-friendly activities which are
harmful for the environment.
Tourists will receive an ethic before entering Bali, to show the respect towards the
culture.
