LESSON PLAN FORM

Comprehension: Summarize the story with 70-80% of the


content given .
Outcome
Knowledge: recite & identify 3 new words with correct
pronunciation: Ears , Whisper , Earwax.

-For vocabulary : TPR -Total physical response and phonics.


Method
-For reading : Deep reading and activities.
Procedures of Warm-up : Simon says (3-4 minutes)
instruction Instruction :
1. when I say “Simon says” you do the action , if I don’t say
“Simon says” , Don’t move.
2. If anyone moves in the turn without “Simon says” is out and
do a punishment. (2-3 squats,lunges)

TPR : Show word with illustration , IPA . ( 8-9 minutes)


-3 Words : Ears , Whisper , Earwax
-> Practice :
1.Practice pronunciation.
> instruct the IPA of the first word.
> whole class repeat 5times > individual (once)

Lead-ins : 2-3 Question (The Ear)
1. How do you receive sound ? ( Question to the topic)
2. Do you listen to music ? ( to lead in the receiving sound
question )
3. Tell me something special about the ears ( Could be anything )

1. Except from receiving sound , what can ears help you ?
- Help you keep balance.

- Take in sounds , then it to the brain.
3. What is the ears ?
- A very important part of the body.
 Invite whole class to repeat the first question and translate it to Viet
 Invite a students to answer the question after reading it for
30s- 1min
 Move on to the next questions until finished
Practice
Deep Reading for now ( 1-2 minutes)
1.Some questions for deep reading section:
1.What vibrates when sound waves hit the ears? -Eardrum
2.Can you touch your outer ear ? - No, you can see it only.
3.What part of the ear do you whisper into ?- Outer ear.
4. What is Earwax for? - Keep infections from getting in.
2.Check understanding ( activity : Race quiz)
-Instruction : Quiz ( 3 teams )
1.Write the answer down on the mini board
2.Ring the bell and keep the hand on the bell
3.The quicker team gets 1 point for it.
- Question for the game:
1. How many parts are the ears made up ? What parts?
- 3 parts. Outer, middle and inner ear.
2. Where is the earwax made ? -Ear canal
3. What do the outer ears hold ? -Ear canal
4. What is the main job of the ear ? - receiving sounds.
