RATE OF PLAY FOR GROUPS A + B: 90 min + 30 sec increment per move from the 1st move. FIDE Laws of
Chess for standard rated tournaments.
RATE OF PLAY FOR GROUP C: 40 min until the end of the game + 30 sec increment per move from the 1st
move. FIDE Laws of Chess for standard rated tournaments.
EXCEPTIONS: Up to two (2) exceptions are allowed for each player, ½ point, if the exceptions are until
the 3rd round.

TOLERANCE: Any player who arrives more than half an hour (30’ minutes) after the scheduled start of a
round shall lose the game by forfeit.
TIE BREAKS: 1) Buchholz cut-1, 2) Sonneborn-Berger, 3) Sum Buchholz tie-breaks variable, 4) Direct
encounter (the result of players in the same point group), 5) Greater number of victories (variable)

Group A: 1st 800 Euros + Cup, 2nd 400 Euros + Cup, 3rd 200 Euros + Cup, 1st Woman 100 Euros + Cup
Group B: 1st 250 Euros + Cup, 2nd 150 Euros + Cup, 3rd 50 Euros + Cup, 1st Woman 50 Euros + Cup.
Special categories (Group B): 1st U18, 1st U16, 1st U14 of each category: Cup + Chessboard. 1st Girl U18,
U16, U14: Cup + Chessboard. 2nd-3rd U18, U16, U14: Medal + Chess book.
(only if there are at least 6 players in each special category).
If a player qualifies for two or more prizes he/she is awarded the higher one. By no appearance in the
Closing Ceremony the right for prizes is forfeited.
Group C: 1st: Cup + Chessboard, 2nd and 3rd: Medals + Wristwatch, 1st : Girl: Cup + Chessboard.
Special categories (Group C): 1st U08, 1st U10, of each category: Cup + Wristwatch. 2nd-3rd U08, U10:
Medal + Wristwatch. (only if there are at least 6 players in each special category).
* Prizes and awards may be increased according to the participants and will be announced in a
supplementary announcement.
Objections –Appeals committee: Objections are made no later than thirty (30) minutes after the end of
the last game of the round. The Appeals Committee will be nominated from the competition before the
beginning of the tournament where 3 full members and 2 alternate members shall be selected before
the beginning of the tournament. From the Appeals Committee excludes all its members related to the
athletes involved in the objection and is replaced by the alternates. The fee for the objection is set at
60€ and must be deposited to the Director of the competition. In case the objection is upheld, the fee is
returned.

Group A:
1. Title holders with FIDE rating >=2500 [Women >=2400] - No entry fee (+Free accommodation in
a double room with breakfast)
2. Title holders with FIDE rating >=2400 [Women ≥ 2300] - No entry fee (+Free accommodation in a
3-bed room with breakfast)
3. Players with FIDE rating 2300-2399 [Women 2200-2299] - 20 Euros
4. Players with FIDE rating 2200-2299 [Women 2100-2199] - 30 Euros
5. Players with FIDE rating 2100-2199 [Women 2000-2099] - 40 Euros
6. Players with FIDE rating 2000-2099 [Women 1900-1999] - 50 Euros
Participants with FIDE rating 1800-1999 and women with FIDE rating 1700-1899 who wish to play at
Group A, may participate by paying 80 Euros Entry Fee.
Group B:
1. Players with FIDE rating 1800-1999 [Women 1700-1899] - 30 Euros
2. Players with FIDE rating 1600-1799 [Women 1500-1699] - 35 Euros
3. Players with FIDE rating 1400-1599 [Women 1400-1499] - 40 Euros
4. Players with no FIDE rating - 50 Euros
Group C: General entry fee 25 Euros.
Group A, B and C:
For the second member of the same family discount 10 euros at the entry fee
For the third and above member of the same family no entry fee
Disabled persons 50% discount at the entry fee

1. Title holders with FIDE rating > = 2500 [Women >=2400] Free accommodation and
breakfast at the Porto Palace Hotel in a double bed room (plus no entry fee).
2. Title holders with FIDE rating >= 2400 *Women ≥ 2300+ Free accommodation and breakfast
at the Porto Palace Hotel in a three bed room (plus no entry fee).
Accommodation at the hotel is not mandatory.
