Question No.36:
Item Rubric (English) :
Dengue fever is a serious disease that affects millions of people worldwide. The main cause of dengue fever is a tiny mosquito called the Aedes
mosquito. These mosquitoes are usually found near standing water, such as in flowerpots, buckets, or clogged drains. When an infected mosquito
bites a person, it injects a virus into their bloodstream. This virus, called the dengue virus, then multiplies and causes the person to become sick.
Dengue fever can also spread through blood transfusions or organ donations from an infected person. Another way dengue fever can spread is
through the bites of infected Aedes mosquitoes that have traveled from one place to another. Climate change, urbanization, and poor waste
management have also contributed to the spread of dengue fever. By understanding the causes of dengue fever, we can take steps to prevent it, such
as eliminating standing water and using mosquito repellents.
