Answer ALL questions in sections A and Three (3) in section B in the answer
booklet provided.
Marks for each question are indicated in brackets.

Answer the questions in English.

SECTION A (40 MARKS)


Answer ALL the questions in this section
1. State FOUR importance of conducting risk assessment in an organization. (4 marks)
2. State FOUR hazard indicators at the workplace. (4 marks)
3. There are key guidelines to consider when developing a contingency plan. Identify
FOUR of these guidelines. (4 marks)
4. Workers exposed to harmful substances within the workplace will have several health
effects. Identify FOUR health effects of that these workers may experience. (4 marks)
5. Accident prevention is possible in every organization. State FOUR ways that
organizations may use to prevent accidents from occurring. (4 marks)
6. Highlight FOUR main causes of fire accidents in the workplace. (4 marks)
7. Under OSH Act 2007, there are roles and responsibilities for every stakeholder. Mention
FOUR responsibilities that are expected from an employee. (4 marks)
8. Workers must receive appropriate safety training from their employer before working in a
potentially hazardous environment. Give FOUR benefits of safety training programs.

on different types of hazards. Explain FIVE types of hazards giving example in each
case. (10 marks)
b. Organizations need to be prepared in case of any emergency that may occur within their
workplaces, and one of them is fire drill. Describe FIVE benefits of conducting fire drill.
