About College
Seth Megh Raj Jindal Government College. Siwani (Bhiwani) is one of the premier institutions of
higher learning in the state of Haryana. It is situated at NH-52, Hisar-Raigarh Road,Siwani in the district
of Bhiwani. It began its journey in 1998 and has successfully completed 25 years of service providing the
quality education and best possible learning experiences to the rural youth of this semi-desert area in the
southern Haryana.
The college is spread in 15 acres of land with a lush green campus which was donated by the local
philanthropist Shri Megh Rai Jindal Ji along with the two built-up blocks and the staff quarters and hence
bears the name. It was inaugurated by the then Chief Minister of Haryana Shri Bansi Lal Ji on 29.08.1998.
The college was started with only two academic programmes of B.A. and B.Com.; and at present, it
proudly offers 11 programmes at UG and PG level. It offers not only all the three streams of Arts.
Commerce and Science at Under Graduate level with B.A., B.Com.,B.Sc. (Med & Non Med) and B.A.
Hons. (Geography) but also 6 Post Graduate programmes in the subjects of History, Hindi, Geography,
Sociology, English and Commerce.
About Seminar
Social research is a dynamic field that is continuously evolving in response to shifts in technology,
society and the global challenges. Various academic disciplines in the social sciences and humanities are
concerned about the changes and challenges in the society and they are consistently working on
understanding various nuances of the social change, the causes and needs for it.
As of recently, there are several key trends and challenges that are shaping social research across
disciplines. Being socially and intellectually aware of the current changes in family structure, living
standard, gender roles etc., we the academicians are meant to know, understand and address the changes
the society is undergoing presently. The seminar is one such attempt and a forum that brings out the best
possible explanation and provides a right direction to the current changes for the overall wellbeing of the
society we live in.
Objectives of the Seminar
1. To deliberate over the current trends and challenges in social research
2. To overcome various challenges and difficulties faced by a social researcher
3. To highlight the significance of social research in the journey towards Viksit Bharat
4. To know the social problems through social institutions, and to discover new facts about social life

Academicians and scholars are invited to submit abstract (between 250-300 words, having
4-5 keywords) on or before March 24, 2025 and full-length paper (1500-2000 words) on or before
March 26, 2025 on the following email address:
