2. FUNDAMENTACIÓN
The learning of Business English is playing an increasingly important role in students’ lives due to the fact that
in many organizations it is becoming more and more necessary to speak English in the workplace. This course
helps them get a wide-ranging overview of the business world, as well as acquiring the key communication skills
they will need in their future working growth. In this way, the students will be able to cope with situations
involving doing everyday tasks in English – communicating with colleagues and work contacts by phone, via
email, and in a range of face-to-face situations that are normally encountered in a modern and global
environment.

The nature of the course is theoretical. The target language in each learning unit has been selected to ensure

and ensures that students pay attention to accuracy, as well as become more proficient at expressing
themselves clearly and precisely. Speaking is included as a way to practice the vocabulary and grammar learnt.
There is a special section that will be worked in class: the Business communication section which ensures that
students are provided with a range of key expressions they can use immediately, both in the classroom and in
their day-to-day work.
