● Topics to be tackled and agenda setting

Chair: We are now in formal session.

Chair: We shall begin with the roll call, when your delegation is called, please raise your placard
and state whether you are present or present and voting.

Chair: calls on countries

Rapporteur: Checks if present or present and voting

Chair: Thank you, after the roll call, we can see that there are (number) delegates present, this
makes a simple majority of (number) and a two thirds majority of (number).

Chair: Are there any points or motions on the floor? The chair would look favorably upon a
motion to open the debate.

Chair: Thank you delegate. Are there any seconds? Objections?

If there is one objection or if there are two or more motions: Thank you, delegates. We will
now take this to a vote, all those in favor of this motion, please raise your placards now.
If passed, open the debate.

Chair: Are there any points or motions on the floor? The chair would smile upon a motion to set
the agenda.

Chair: This is in order, delegate. Are there any points or motions on the floor?

Chair: We shall now open a primary speakers list to discuss whether delegates are in favor or
against setting the agenda to default. To those who would like to be added to the primary
speakers’ list, kindly raise your placards. Since there are none, compelling the delegate of Haiti
and the delegate of the United States of America to be added to the Primary Speakers’ List.

Chair: Calling on the delegate of (blank), the floor is now yours.

Chair: Thank you, delegate. Calling on the delegate of (blank), the floor is now yours.

If only one motion: That is in order, delegate. Are there any more motions on the floor? Seeing
none, are there any seconds?

Chair: Seeing that the primary speakers list has been exhausted, we will automatically close the
debate on setting the agenda to default and move to the voting procedure. All those in favor of
adopting Topic X first before moving onto topic Y please raise your placards now.

Chair: This motion passes. The agenda is now set to (insert order of agenda). The committee
will first be discussing (insert agenda).

Chair: Are there any points or motions on the floor? On dais discretion, we will now be opening
the General Speakers’ List. To those who wish to be added to the list, kindly raise your
placards.

Chair: Calling on the delegate of (blank), the floor is now yours.

Chair: Thank you, delegate. Calling on the delegate of (blank), the floor is now yours.

So on and so forth

Chair: Are there any points of motions on the floor? The dais would look favorably upon a
motion for a moderated caucus.
Chair: Thank you, delegate. Are there any more motions on the floor?

If there are none: Seeing that there are none, we will now proceed to votation. We will first be
voting on the most disruptive motion set by the delegate of (country) which is a moderated
caucus on the topic of (topic) with (total time) and (speaking time). To those who are in favor of
this motion, kindly raise your placards.

Count votes

Chair: This motion passes. We are now under a moderated caucus delegate of (proposer),
would you like to speak first or last? That is noted, delegate. To those who wish to be added to
the speakers’ list, kindly raise your placards. (Compel if there is no one)
