SEO Execution Report: Sitemap Setup

for WordPress
Objective:

Enable sitemap generation on both websites (supernovayacht.com and climaxmarine.com)


to facilitate:

- Full SEO auditing

- Search engine indexing

- Structured crawling and analysis

PHASE 1: Plugin Installation

Option 1: Install Yoast SEO Plugin (RECOMMENDED)

Purpose: Automatically generate an XML sitemap and enhance on-site SEO.

Steps:

1. Log in to WordPress Admin Panel.

2. Navigate to: Plugins > Add New

3. In the search bar, type: Yoast SEO

4. Click Install Now and then Activate.

PHASE 2: Enable Sitemap Generation

In WordPress Admin:

1. Go to: SEO > General

2. Click the Features tab.


3. Find the setting called XML Sitemaps.

4. Make sure it's switched ON.

5. Click Save Changes.

PHASE 3: Verify Sitemap

After activation, your sitemap will be available at:

- Supernova Yacht: https://www.supernovayacht.com/sitemap_index.xml

- Climax Marine: https://www.climaxmarine.com/sitemap_index.xml

Open these URLs in a browser. You should see:

- "Posts Sitemap"

- "Pages Sitemap"

- "Categories Sitemap" (if enabled)

ALTERNATIVE: Using Rank Math SEO

If Rank Math is preferred:

1. Install from Plugins > Add New, Search: Rank Math SEO

2. Activate and run the Setup Wizard.

3. Navigate to: Rank Math > Sitemap Settings

4. Ensure sitemap is enabled and visible at:

https://yourdomain.com/sitemap_index.xml

Testing the Sitemap (Post-Activation)


Once enabled:

- Open the sitemap URL in any browser.

- You should see a structured index file with links like post-sitemap.xml, page-sitemap.xml,
etc.

FINAL STEP: Notify SEO Analyst

Once the sitemap is active, notify your SEO team or contact:

- Optimize title & meta tags

NOTES:

- The sitemap is also submitted automatically to search engines like Google and Bing if

- The sitemap updates dynamically whenever you add new posts or pages.
