DIGITAL DOCUMENTATION(ADVANCED) SESSION1 STYLE IN DOCUMENT (1)
A style is a collection of all formatting information that can be saved and applied to a
document.
1. Page Style - Used for formatting pages, defining layout elements such as page size,
margins, headers, footers, footnotes, borders, and backgrounds.
2. Paragraph Style - Used for formatting paragraphs, including tab stops, text
alignment, line spacing, and borders.
3. Character Style - Applied to specific words or letters, allowing changes in text color,
size, highlighting, and emphasis.
4. Frame Style - Formats frames that contain text, graphics, or lists, specifying size,
position, borders, and text wrapping.
1. Select the text to be formatted (characters, words, lines, paragraphs, pages, frames,
or tables).
Fill Format is useful for applying the same style at multiple locations within the document.
2. Select the desired style category and style from the drop-down list.
5. Exit Fill Format by clicking the button again or pressing the Esc key.
From Selection
3. Click the Style Action button and select "New Style from Selection."
4. Enter the name of the new style in the dialog window and click OK.
4. Enter the new style name in the dialog box and click OK. Note: Drag and Drop cannot
be used to create a Page Style.
3. Use the Style Action button and select "Update Selected Style."
