Project Overview / Brief


The Faculty Appointment Booking System is a mobile and web-based platform that enables
students to seamlessly schedule meetings with faculty members. It aims to eliminate
inefficiencies in manual scheduling by providing an automated, real-time, and structured
booking system. The primary objectives of this project include:

 OTP-based authentication for students and faculty.


 Role selection screen at login to distinguish between students and faculty.
 Students can view faculty availability, book/cancel appointments, and receive
notifications.
 Faculty can manage appointment requests, accept/reject bookings, and update their
availability.
 Email & push notifications for confirmations, cancellations, and reminders.
 Real-time validation to prevent double bookings and scheduling conflicts.
 Secure backend using Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB.
 Mobile app frontend developed using Flutter.
