1. Background of the Project The increasing number of events in educational institutions


necessitates an efficient system for notifying students and staff. This project aims to
develop a web-based notification system that will streamline event management and
enhance communication within Madda Walabu University.
2. Statement of the Problem Currently, students and faculty often miss important events due
to a lack of timely notifications. This project seeks to address this issue by providing a
reliable reminder system.
3. Objectives 3.1. General Objective To develop a web-based events notification reminder
system for Madda Walabu University.

3.2. Specific Objectives To allow users to register and log in to the system. To enable event
creation and management by authorized personnel. To send notifications via email and SMS to
users. 4. Scope and Limitation of the Project 4.1. Scope of the Project The system will focus on
event management and notifications for students and faculty at Madda Walabu University.

4.2. Limitation of the Project The project may face limitations in terms of user adoption and
technical challenges related to integration with existing systems.
