Engineering Design Process Write in your own words what the Engineering

Design process step is..

Steps
1: Define the Problem Identify and understand the issue.

2: Brainstorm Possible Solutions Generate a range of ideas to address the problem.

3: Research Ideas/Explore Possibilities Explore different approaches and use creative

thinking to generate possible solutions.

4: Specify Constraints & Identify Criteria Define restrictions and limitations and
performance requirements.

5: Consider Alternative Solutions Brainstorm multiple solutions and research

existing solutions.

6: Select an Approach Find the method you plan to use to solve the
problem.

7: Develop a Written Design Proposal Create concept sketches, technical drawings, cost
analysis, or a timeline

8: Make a Model or Prototype Create a 3D model or a prototype to test the

requirements of the design.

9: Test and Evaluate Go through different methods of testing such as,

functional testing, user testing, or data analysis.

10: Refine and Improve Make changes to the design based on test results
and refine the design to better the performance.

11: Create/Make the Product Develop a manufacturing plan of the final product
and design it according to the specifications.

12: Communicate Processes and Share the design and testing process through
Results presentations and documentation.

Iterative: using versions from the past to help improve future versions or projects
