OPERATION INSTRUCTIONS

Single Top
1. Pull up on the table top to raise it.
2. To unlock and lower the table top, squeeze handle (A) upwards while guiding the table
top downwards.

Flip Top
1. Pull up on the table top to raise it.
2. To unlock and lower the table top, squeeze handle (A)
upwards while guiding the table top downwards.
3. Lift secondary flip top surface all the way up and release.
The flip top surface will now stay in its extended position.
4. To fold away the flip top surface, raise the secondary
top all the way up and slowly release to let it flip down.

SAFE USAGE ILLUSTRATIONS

Raising the table

Gently pull up on the table top using both hands.

Lowering the table

Gently lower the table by placing one hand on the table


top while using the other for controlling the release
handle.

WEIGHT CAPACITY: 100lbs evenly distributed over the main surface


WEIGHT CAPACITY: Flip surface 10 lbs

NOTE: Amico overbed tables have a shock absorbent spring. When pressure is applied, the
table will lower slightly and spring back up when pressure is released.

WARNING: Ensure the table is clear of the bed or any other piece of equipment before
raising/lowering the table or the other piece of equipment to ensure the table does not react.

WARNING: DO NOT USE THE TABLE TO:


- Sit on
- Lean on
- Get in/out of bed
- As a walker

WARNING: Never put children on the table

CAUTION: Do not apply any more than 100 lbs, evenly distributed, to the main surface

CAUTION: Do not apply more than 10 lbs to flip surface at any time

CAUTION: Do not apply any kind of lubricant to the gas spring. Lubricant will damage the gas
spring.

Cleaning

Amico Patient Care recommends using a mild cleaning agent or detergent to this product.
When a mild cleaning agent or soap is not adequate, follow the instructions provided by the
cleaning product manufacturer for ammonia, bleach, isopropyl alcohol and ammonium chloride
based cleaning solutions.
Normal usage of Virox 5 RTU according to the manufacturer instruction will not alter the
laminate surface. Dampen a soft cloth with diluted cleaner and wipe the surface to remove dirt
and fingerprints. Wipe the surface with a soft dry cloth to remove any moisture.

CAUTION: DO NOT USE WD-40 or any other lubricant or damage to the table could occur.

SERVICE INFORMATION

Single Top

PRIMARY TOP REPLACEMENT

Required Tools: #3 Philips Screwdriver

1. Fully raise the table top.

WARNING: To avoid personal injury or damage to the table, support the table top before
removing the screws securing it to the top support.

2. Remove six #3 Philips screws under the table top holding the top to the support bracket.
3. Lift off the table top.
4. Reverse to install new table top.

Flip Top

TOP REPLACEMENT

Required Tools: #3 Philips Screwdriver; #2 Robertson Screwdriver

1. Fully raise the table top.

WARNING: To avoid personal injury or damage to the table, support the table top before
removing the screws securing it to the top support.

2. Remove two #2 Robertson screws connecting the lid-stay to the secondary flip top
surface.
3. Remove six #2 Philips screws under the table top holding the top to the support bracket.
4. Lift off the table top.
5. Remove six #2 Robertson screws from flip top side of the hinges to fully detach the dual
flip top surface.
6. Reverse to install new table top.

Gas Spring
Required Tools: #3 Philips Screwdriver; Slotted (Flat) Screwdriver; 5/8 Socket or Wrench

1. Remove release handle by prying out retaining clip and removing handle support pin.
2. Remove the Nut holding the top end of gas spring to the support bracket.
3. Remove 4 screws from the support bracket and lift off the support bracket.
4. Pry out the retaining clip close to the bottom of the inner column and pull out the gas
spring support pin (This may require moving the gas spring from the top edge)
5. Remove gas spring assembly from the inner column.
6. Reverse to install the new gas spring.

NOTE: When reinstalling, the new gas spring will need to be compressed slightly in order to
fasten the support bracket to the outer column by means of the four screws pertaining to step
3.

Outer Column Replacement

Required Tools: #2 Philips Screwdriver

1. Remove primary top.


2. Slide the column all the way down and remove locking screw on the inner column.
3. Now remove outer column cap by removing four screws.
4. Pull the outer column away from the base.
5. Remove glides from the inside of the column.
6. Reverse to install a new outer column.

Caster Replacement

Required Tools: 13mm wrench

1. Fully raise the table top.


2. While maintaining a secure grip on the table carefully flip it over or turn it on its side to
allow access to the damaged caster.
3. Use the 13mm wrench to remove the damaged casters and replace with new casters.
