1.2. Design and Performance Goals


1.2.1. The following information is provided as Guidance:
1.2.2. This section describes the Integrated Safety and Security systems performance requirements. The
performance requirements as described in these subsections must be read in conjunction with all
other parts of Output Specifications as well as all other Technical Specifications describing in detail
the required performance of materials and manufactured components to support the required
systems and whole building performance to suit the intended functions of the new facility.

1.3. Design Standards and General Requirements


1.3.1. The following are Requirements:
1.3.2. All integrated safety and security systems are required to adhere to the Owner’s standards and
policies for cyber security and data privacy.
1.3.3. All integrated safety and security systems shall be an IP based, enterprise solutions.
1.3.4. All integrated safety and security system servers shall be fully redundant, fault tolerant, in an active-
active configuration. (Revised by Addendum 16)
1.3.5. Design and construct the Pharmacy space security in compliance with NAPRA practice and
Regulatory Standards.

1.3.6. Project Co shall perform a Threat Risk Assessment for the project and implement
recommendations from the Threat Risk Assessment into the design. Refer to Project Agreement
Schedule 10.
1.3.7. Install all integrated safety and security systems on UPS power with generator back up.
1.3.8. For all security systems provide detailed installation and commissioning schedule prior to 100CD
submission. The intent of the schedule is to ensure that the Owner has adequate time to prepare
for procuring, installing and configuring the network in advance so that the network can be in ready
for Project Co to test and commission the system.
1.3.9. Provide documentation and training to the appropriate staff on the use and maintenance of all
systems installed in accordance with Schedule 14.

1.4. Access Control System Requirements


1.4.1. The following are Requirements:
1.4.2. Access Control System
1.4.2.1 Design, provide, install and commission an electronic access control system to meet all
requirements contained within the PSOS and technical specifications.
1.4.2.2 The Owner’s current access control system is Lenel OnGuard. Project Co shall provide an
access control system that integrates to the existing Lenel OnGuard solution such that all
alerts, transactions, events and administration at the new facility can be monitored and
managed using the existing access control interface.
1.4.2.3 If Project Co provides a Lenel OnGuard solution for the new facility, Project Co shall be
permitted to utilise the existing off-site servers and infrastructure. Project Co shall remain
responsible of any on-site equipment required to support the installation. Project Co shall
also provide all additional licences required to support the new facility.
1.4.2.4 If Project Co provides a Lenel OnGuard solution, Project Co shall utilize the existing access
control interface and software platform and shall provide all hardware, card readers, access
cards, programming, cabling, power, pathways, and infrastructure.
1.4.2.5 If Project Co provides a solution that is not Lenel OnGuard, Project Co shall be responsible
for a complete solution including any middleware required to integrate to the existing
system, all servers and other components.
1.4.2.6 If Project Co provides a solution that is not Lenel OnGuard, Project Co shall provide a
complete electronic access control system including, but not limited to, hardware, servers,
software, card readers, access cards, programming, cabling, power, pathways, and
infrastructure.
1.4.2.7 Coordinate the access control system server requirements with the Owner.
1.4.2.8 Locate the access control system servers off-site at the Owner’s data centre.
1.4.2.9 The Owner will provide the WAN connection to the off-site data centre to connect the
access control system to the off-site servers.
1.4.2.10 Program the sequence of operations for all access controlled and monitored doors.
1.4.2.11 The electronic access control system shall be an iCLASS card system that uniquely
identifies the card user and provides an audit trail of building area use. At a minimum, the
name of the card holder, time/date of entry, and time/date of exit shall be stored. Events
shall be stored for one year.

1.4.2.12 The electronic access control cards shall be iCLASS, capable of multi-purpose use and
include passive RFID, barcode, tap and magstripe capability.
1.4.2.13 The electronic access control system shall be capable of using cards from other sites
throughout the Owner’s organization to eliminate the need for dedicated electronic access
control cards.
1.4.2.14 The electronic access control cards shall be capable of having staff photos and corporate
logos printed on the card face.
1.4.2.15 Provide five hundred (500) iClass Corporate 1000 format, access control cards to the
Owner. The Owner will be responsible for programming all access control cards.
1.4.2.16 During Design Development Project Co, with input from the Owner, shall create a card
reader schedule that shall be used to do the initial access control card reader programming.
The finalized card reader schedule shall be provided to the Owner by 100CD.
1.4.2.17 The access control system shall reside on the Owner’s network as a VLAN on the logically
separated facilities network.
1.4.2.18 The Owner will provide and install all network switches required to support the access
control system. The Owner shall configure the VLAN on the facilities network.
1.4.2.19 All network switches will be installed in racks in the Owner side of the Communications
Rooms.
1.4.2.20 Install the electronic access control system Data Gathering Panels (DGP) and controllers
on the walls on the Owner side of the Communication Rooms.
1.4.2.21 Coordinate the network requirements for the electronic access control system with the
Owner.
1.4.2.22 Program the access control system to lock down the building, each floor (except for access
between floors using the feature stairs) and each component individually with a single click
on the user interface.
1.4.2.23 Provide card reader, door position sensors, request-to-exit devices, electrified locks, and
automatic door closers on all electronic access-controlled doors.
1.4.2.24 All doors secured with electric strikes shall fail secure subject to OBC requirements.
1.4.2.25 Provide all doors leading from corridors into rooms equipped with X-ray machines, lasers,
or other similarly sensitive/hazardous equipment with an electrified lock interlocked with an
illuminated “X-RAY IN USE” sign, “LASER IN USE” sign, or similarly worded sign in the
corridor. Interlock the electrified lock with the equipment to prevent accidental entry from
the corridor into the room. Signage must be approved by the Owner and all authorities
having jurisdiction.
1.4.2.26 Time schedules for free access and controlled access through secured doors will vary.
Project Co shall coordinate the time schedule with the Owner prior to programming the
system.
1.4.2.27 Install all wiring in the field for the access control system in conduit for the entire cable run.
1.4.2.28 Install all wiring between DGPs in enclosed cable raceway.
1.4.2.29 Install all cables from the network switches to the access control system controllers in
conduits. Terminate cables in an enclosed pull box next to the DGP.
1.4.2.30 Install patch cords from the data outlet to the controller in enclosed raceway.

1.4.3.2 For all rooms that require electronic access control that have multiple doors into the space,
each door shall have a card reader.
1.4.3.3 On doors between components, provide card readers on both sides of the door to restrict
access in both directions.
1.4.3.4 Card readers at the patient transfer entrance and door into the ambulance garage shall an
integrated pin-pad.
1.4.3.5 Integrate the electronic access control system with Automatic Door Openers (ADO)
installed on electronic access-controlled doors.
1.4.3.6 Install card readers on ADO doors at sufficient distances from the doors that such that
stretchers and carts passing through the doors does not interfere with the automatic door
operation. Coordinate the placement with the Owner during Design Development.
1.4.4. Remote Door ReleaseEnd Here
1.4.4.1 Provide wired door releases to the following locations:
Public entrance to the Maternal Newborn department
Each public entrance to the Inpatient Services components

1.4.4.2 Coordinate the location of the door release buttons with the Owner during Design
Development. In general, the door release button will be placed at the closest
Communication Station or Triage/Registration desk and to the Security Work Room,
however that may change depending on the component layout and operational flow.

1.5. Video Surveillance System


1.5.1. The following are Requirements:
1.5.2. Video Surveillance System
1.5.2.1 Design, provide, install and commission a video surveillance system to meet all
requirements contained within the PSOS and technical specifications.
1.5.2.2 The Owner’s current video surveillance system is March Networks. Provide a video
surveillance system that integrates to the existing March network solution such that the
new facility can be monitored and managed using the existing video surveillance interface.
1.5.2.3 If Project Co provides a March Networks solution, Project Co shall be permitted to utilise
the existing off-site servers and infrastructure. Project Co shall remain responsible of any
on-site equipment such as video storage and archive servers. Project Co shall also provide
all additional licences required to support the new facility.

1.5.2.4 If Project Co provides a solution that is not March Networks, Project Co shall be responsible
for a complete solution including any middleware required to integrate to the existing
system, servers and other components.
1.5.2.5 The video surveillance system shall be an IP based, non – proprietary, fully redundant,
enterprise solution.
1.5.2.6 The video surveillance system shall be a complete solution that is scalable from the existing
scope of this project to several hundred cameras which can be added on a unit-by-unit
basis.
1.5.2.7 The video surveillance system shall fully integrate with the access control system, intercom
system, duress alarm system and RTLS to provide automatic, real time camera call up on
alarm from each system.
1.5.2.8 The video surveillance system shall display both live and playback video images and
diagnostic information as well as trigger other relevant system actions such as map display
on alarm, camera recording on alarm.
1.5.2.9 The video surveillance system shall have the capability of simultaneous live viewing and
recording of individual cameras at different frame rates and resolutions.
1.5.2.10 The video surveillance system shall be monitored locally at the Security Workroom
(06.006.01), and off-site at the Ron Joyce Children’s Health Centre using the existing
March Networks videowall.
1.5.2.11 Program all interfaces from the new facility to the off-site monitoring centre.
1.5.2.12 Notify the Owner 24 hours in advance of preforming any work on the video surveillance
system. Downtime of the existing March Networks system will not be permitted.
1.5.2.13 System storage shall be based on a “Centralized” storage topology.
1.5.2.14 The video surveillance system storage shall provide failover redundancy between
Communication Rooms along with redundant hardware for all components.
1.5.2.15 Project Co shall locate the primary storage array shall in the Primary Network Core Room.
1.5.2.16 Project Co shall locate the secondary storage array shall in the Secondary Network Core
Room.
1.5.2.17 Project Co shall provide a minimum of 30 days video storage plus 25% for future.
1.5.2.18 Provide video surveillance storage capacity based on all cameras recording 24/7 in HD
(1080p) quality at a rate of 30fps.
1.5.2.19 The video surveillance system shall reside on the Owner’s network as a logically separated
network with a dedicated facilities VLAN.
1.5.2.20 The Owner shall provide and install all network switches required to support the video
surveillance system. The Owner shall configure the VLAN on the network.
1.5.2.21 All network switches for the video surveillance system shall be installed in racks in the
Owner side of the Communications Rooms.
1.5.2.22 Horizontal cables for video surveillance system cameras shall terminate on rack mounted
patch panels on the Owner side of Communications Rooms.

1.5.3.1 All video surveillance cameras shall be equipped with video motion detection analytics
allowing for the alarming of cameras upon activation of motion within a predetermined field
of view. Upon alarm, cameras record rate will increase and the camera will call up on
dedicated priority screen at the Security Workroom (06.006.01), and the off-site monitoring
centre.
1.5.3.2 Position cameras not to be obstructed by any accessories, equipment, signage or any other
intrusions.
1.5.3.3 Position cameras to not capture any private patient areas such as patient rooms and
washrooms.
1.5.3.4 All cameras shall be IP based multi streaming cameras. Using analog cameras and/or
hardware video encoders is prohibited.
1.5.3.5 All cameras shall be by PoE.
1.5.3.6 The use of fibre with media converts is permitted for outdoor site cameras exceeding 90m
in horizontal distance from the nearest Communications Room.
1.5.3.7 Provide UPS power with emergency back-up power to all media converters.
1.5.3.8 Install all video surveillance system cabling in conduit. Only within the ICAT space can the
cabling run in the open cabletray.
1.5.3.9 Project Co shall provide video surveillance cameras to at a minimum meet the following
classifications measured in pixels per meter (pix/m):
Detection – 7 pix/m
Recognition – 20 pix/m
Identification – 50 pix/m
1.5.3.10 Project Co shall provide higher than the above noted pix/m if recommended by the selected
camera manufacture higher pix/m is needed to achieve the definition of Detection,
Recognition and Identification.
1.5.3.11 Project Co shall provide Detection level cameras covering all areas in the following
locations:
Both sides of all component entrances and exits except where noted as
requiring higher that Detection level video surveillance.
Inside all stairwells covering all stairs and landings
Loading Dock
Loading Dock Receiving and Post Receiving Breakout
The Coffee Shop
The Coffee Shop seating
The Gift Shop
Outside the Information Desk

1.5.3.13 Project Co shall provide Identification level cameras covering all areas in the following

1.5.4. Local Monitoring (viewing only)
1.5.4.1 Provide dedicated local monitoring with viewing only at the following locations:
Gift Shop entry (visible to patrons as they enter)
Maternal Newborn Communications Station
Surgical Services Communications Station
Inpatient Services Communication Stations
Emergency Department Communications Station
Mental Health Booking in the Ambulatory Care Centre
1.5.4.2 For locations where local monitoring with viewing only, provide a dedicated security
monitoring display at each location to view selected cameras associated with the
component. The Owner will select which cameras will be viewed on each monitor.
1.5.4.3 Coordinate the location of the dedicated security monitoring displays with the Owner during
Design Development.

Size for 2D Content in Audiovisual.

1.6. Intercom System


1.6.1. The following are Requirements:
1.6.2. Intercom System
1.6.2.1 Project Co shall design, provide, install and commission an intercom system to meet all
requirements contained within the PSOS and technical specifications.
1.6.2.2 The Intercom System shall provide full-duplex voice communication between two or more
locations.
1.6.2.3 The Intercom System shall include:
Voice Intercom Stations – audio only between intercom stations
Video Intercom Stations – audio and video between intercom stations
Emergency Duress Station Intercoms – audio between intercoms stations
with integration with the video surveillance system to provide video
1.6.2.4 The Intercom System shall be integrated with the telephone system and provide the ability
to forward calls to internal and external 10-digit phone numbers including wireless phones.
1.6.2.5 The Intercom System shall be a complete solution that is scalable from the existing scope
of this project to several hundred devices which can be added on a unit-by-unit basis. This
future expansion capacity shall not require significant replacement or upgrading of
hardware or equipment provided as part of the initial solution.
1.6.2.6 The Intercom System servers shall be fully redundant with automatic fail-over.
1.6.2.7 The Intercom System servers shall be located off-site at the Owner’s data centre.
1.6.2.8 The Intercom System shall reside on the Owner’s network on the logically separated
facilities network as a VLAN.
1.6.2.9 The Owner shall provide and install all network switches required to support the Intercom
System. The Owner shall configure the VLAN on the network.
1.6.2.10 All network switches for the Intercom System shall be installed in racks in the Owner side
of the Communications Rooms.
1.6.2.11 Horizontal cables for the Intercom System shall terminate on rack mounted patch panels
on the Provincial side of Communications Rooms.
1.6.2.12 Mount all intercoms at a height complaint with the latest version of the AODA.
1.6.3. Voice Intercom
1.6.3.1 Voice intercoms shall provide full-duplex voice communication between intercom stations.
1.6.3.2 Once a call is activated the voice intercom stations shall have hands-free operation, and
not require pressing the intercom button to speak.
1.6.3.3 Voice Intercom Stations shall be installed in the following locations:

1.6.4. Video Intercom
1.6.4.1 Video Intercoms shall provide full-duplex voice communication between intercom stations
and video from the station that initiates the call.
1.6.4.2 Once a call is activated the voice intercom stations shall have hands-free operation, and
not require pressing the intercom button to speak.
1.6.4.3 Video Intercom Stations shall be installed in the following locations:
All rooms indicated on the Room Level Design Data
Outside the Emergency Department Entrance
Outside the Main Public entrance
Outside the staff entrance
Outside the patient transfer vestibule
1.6.5. Emergency Duress Station Intercoms
1.6.5.1 Install Emergency Duress Station intercoms inside Emergency Duress Station stanchions.

1.7.2.3 Upon active of the Emergency Duress Stations intercom, the system will send an alarm to
the access control alarm management system, also triggering the associated video
surveillance camera.

1.7.3. Stanchions
1.7.3.1 Depending on the application, Emergency Duress Stations stanchions shall be free
standing or wall mounted.
1.7.3.2 Emergency Duress Stations stanchions shall be yellow in colour with the word
“Emergency” written on the side
1.7.3.3 Stanchions shall have a blue light on top.
1.7.3.4 The stanchion light will always be illuminated and will strobe once the Emergency Duress
Stations intercom is activated.
1.7.4. Locations
1.7.4.1 Provide Emergency Duress Stations in the following locations:
In the main drop-off area outside of the Emergency Department (wall
mounted)
Outside the Staff Entrance (wall mounted)
Located on each of the walkways on all sides of the site, in each parking
lot, and other locations as required across the site such that visible
sightlines to a station are maintained, no station is more than 100m apart,
and the maximum travel distance to a station is 50m
1.7.4.2 Coordinate all Emergency Duress Station locations with the Owner during Design
Development.

1.8. Doorbell
1.8.1. The following are Requirements:
1.8.2. Provide a doorbell or buzzer at the following locations to alert staff that a visitor is waiting at the
door or pick up window:
1.8.2.1 Pharmacy Services pick up window
1.8.2.2 Pharmacy Services component entrance
1.8.2.3 IT Services component entrance
1.8.2.4 Laboratory component entrance
1.8.2.5 All rooms indicated on the Room Level Design Data
1.8.3. Provide wired doorbells that do not required batteries to operate.
1.8.4. Doorbell sounds shall be unique and easily identifiable such that if more than one doorbell is used
in the same component, staff will be able to identify the source of the call.
1.8.5. Provide signage at the doorbells for visitors, such as “ring of assistance” or as determined by the
Owner during Design Development.
1.8.6. The location in the component where the doorbells will ring to will be determined by the Owner
during Design Development.
1.8.7. Provide a commercial grade doorbell system capable of being cleaned in accordance with the
Owner’s IP&C requirements.

1.9. Panic Buttons


1.9.1. The following are Requirements:
1.9.2. Panic buttons shall be silent locally and shall not have an audible sound at the location where the
panic button was activated.
1.9.3. Upon activation panic buttons shall annunciate and active alarm on the access control system
alarm management interface.
1.9.4. Panic buttons shall be designed as to avoid accidental depreciation.
1.9.5. Panic buttons shall be wired, and not require batteries to operate.
1.9.6. Panic buttons shall latch in the active alarm position after activation. Provide the Owner’s security
staff the latch release keys for all panic buttons installed.
1.9.7. Surface mount panic buttons under the worksurface to allow staff to discretely activate the alarm.
Coordinate the exact position under the worksurface with the Owner during Design Development.
1.9.8. Install panic buttons at locations where staff interface with public. Refer to the Room Level Design
Data for locations.

1.10. Emergency Call Strips


1.10.1. Provide Emergency Call Strips in all Universal washrooms for visitors to use from either a sitting or
fallen position to call for help.
1.10.2. Mount Emergency Call Strips along the entire length of all walls of the washrooms at a height
compliant with AODA standards.
1.10.3. Emergency Call Strips shall be low profile and illuminated with LED lights.
1.10.4. Emergency Call strips shall be tamper proof, water resistant and comply with all of the Owner’s
infection prevention and control requirements.
1.10.5. When activated the Emergency Call Strips shall send an alarm to security on the access control
alarm management system.

1.11. Real Time Locating System


1.11.1. The following are Requirements:
1.11.2. RTLS
1.11.2.1 Project Co shall design, provide, install, and commission a Real Time Locating System
(RTLS) to meet all requirements contained within the PSOS and technical specifications.
1.11.2.2 The RTLS shall be fully integrated multimedia tracking system that provides a scalable,
open architecture client-server-based security tracking solution, suitable for healthcare
facilities using proven technology.

1.11.2.3 The RTLS shall wirelessly communicate with tags to provide real time tracking of tags
throughout the facility. Exterior tracking is not required.
1.11.2.4 The RTLS shall be a Wi-Fi based system that uses the WLAN as the base for tracking and
communicating with RTLS tags.
1.11.2.5 The RTLS shall seamlessly integrate to numerous applications including access control
and alarm monitoring and video surveillance.
1.11.2.6 The RTLS user interface shall have a graphic map that continuously tracks and monitor
the movement of RTLS tags, including tags in alarm, throughout the facility.
1.11.2.7 The RTLS user interface shall enable the operator to locate a specific tag by searching by
tag type and/or tag ID number. The search result shall display the tag location by room
number and an indicator graphically on a graphical floor map.
1.11.2.8 The RTLS shall be used for the following functions:
Asset Tracking
Infant Protection
Patient Tracking
Staff Tracking
Wireless Temperature Monitoring
1.11.3. Tracking Accuracy
1.11.3.1 Define RTLS tracking accuracy as follows:
Component level accuracy – with 100% certainty RTLS tags are located
in the component
Room level accuracy - with 100% certainty RTLS tags are located in the
room
Corridor level accuracy - with 100% certainty RTLS tags are located in the
corridor, within 20m of the location shown on the RTLS map
1.11.3.2 The RTLS shall track tags to the following accuracy based on the component:
Maternal Newborn to room level accuracy
Surgical Services to room level accuracy
Stairwells entering/exiting Maternal Newborn to room level accuracy
Stairwells entering/exiting Surgical Services to room level accuracy
Corridors in Maternal Newborn to corridor level accuracy
Corridors in Surgical Services to corridor level accuracy
Corridors excluding Maternal Newborn and Surgical Services to
component level accuracy
1.11.3.3 Consider large mechanical service spaces and large electrical services spaces single
rooms and are not required to be divided into smaller zones.

1.11.4.1 The RTLS shall send an alarm to the RTLS user interface when an unauthorized tag comes
within 1m of an RTLS monitored point.
1.11.4.2 An audible alarm shall be emitted if a tag gets within 1m of a monitored point to provide a
local alert that an unauthorized tag is too close to a monitored point.
1.11.4.3 An additional alarm shall be sent from the RTLS if the unauthorized tag passes through
the RTLS monitored point.
1.11.4.4 Alarms on the RTLS user interface shall display the tag name, tag number, alarm type and
location and an indicator graphically on a graphical floor map.
1.11.4.5 Video surveillance cameras in the area shall generate a bookmark of the RTLS alarm
event, and the cameras shall be prioritized on the Security Workroom priority screen.
1.11.4.6 The RTLS shall have monitored points at the following locations:
All building entrances and exits
All entrances/exits from Inpatient Units (including stairwells)
1.11.5. Secured Points
1.11.5.1 The RTLS shall send an alarm to the RTLS user interface and automatically lock the door
when an unauthorized tag comes within 1m of an RTLS secured point to contain the tag
within the area.
Automatic locking of the door shall be capable of stopping someone who
is running from passing through the door with an unauthorized tag.
1.11.5.2 An audible alarm shall be emitted if a tag gets within 1m of a secured point to provide a
local alert that an unauthorized tag is too close to a secured point.
1.11.5.3 The alarm on the RTLS user interface shall display the tag name, tag number, alarm type
and location and an indicator graphically on a graphical floor map.
1.11.5.4 Video surveillance cameras in the area shall generate a bookmark of the RTLS alarm
event, and the cameras shall be prioritized on the Security Workroom priority screen.
1.11.5.5 The RTLS shall have secured points at the following locations:
All entrances/exits from the Maternal Newborn and Surgical Services
components (including stairwells)
All elevators (stop the elevator from leaving the floor)
1.11.6. Temperature Monitoring
1.11.6.1 The RTLS shall send an alarm to the RTLS user interface when a temperature monitoring
tag measures a temperature out of range.
1.11.6.2 The temperature range shall be programmable by the Owner and will be dependant on the
individual samples being monitored.
1.11.6.3 Alarms on the RTLS user interface shall display the tag name, tag number, alarm type and
location and an indicator graphically on a graphical floor map.

1.11.7. RTLS Tags


1.11.7.1 Project Co shall provide the following quantities of RTLS tags to the Owner to be deployed
throughout the facility.

Ten (10) infant protection tags
Three hundred (300) staff tags (Revised by Addendum 16)

Twenty (20) temperature monitoring tags
1.11.7.2 Infant protection tags shall have cut-resistant bands and send an alarm to the RTLS system
if the tag is removed.
1.11.7.3 Patient tags protection tags shall have cut-resistant bands and send an alarm to the RTLS
system if the tag is removed.
1.11.7.4 Asset tags shall be capable of being secured to an asset without a permanent bond (such
as glue or epoxy) or mechanical penetration (such as a screw) and send an alarm to the
RTLS system if the tag is removed.
1.11.8. RTLS tag escort
1.11.8.1 Escorted RTLS tags shall pass through monitor points and secure points without causing
alarms or locking doors.
1.11.8.2 The RTLS shall allow infant tags to be escorted by staff tags (worn by the assigned care
giver) and patient tags (worn by the mother).
1.11.8.3 The RTLS shall allow asset tags to be escorted by staff tags (worn by the assigned staff).
1.11.8.4 The infant or asset tag must be within 0.5m of the escort tag for the escort function to by-
pass the monitored points and secure points.
1.11.8.5 RTLS tag escort shall be programmable within the RTLS, and not involve unenrolling tags
from the system.

1.12. Security Workroom


1.12.1. The following are Requirements:
1.12.2. Local monitoring and management
1.12.2.1 The Owner will monitor and manage all integrated safety and security systems locally from
the Security Work Room (06.006.01) and remotely from their off-site monitor centre.
1.12.2.2 Install administrative level access to all integrated safety and security systems to the
Security Workroom workstation to allow local staff to monitor and manage the systems.
1.12.3. Visitor Management System
1.12.3.1 In addition to equipment listed in PSOS section 5, provide a centralized visitor management
system in the Security Workroom for issuing self-expiring visitor cards.
1.12.3.2 The visitor management system shall include system software, card/badge printer, ID
camera, and all accessories to produce visitor cards.
