WAGE RATES – FEBRUARY, 2025

I. MAPA/NUPW AGREEMENT ON THE WAGES OF HARVESTERS, HARVESTING


KANGANIES, LOADERS AND “OTHER LOADERS”
ON OIL PALM ESTATES, 2024

OIL PALM

The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) has advised that the monthly-weighted average
price for crude palm oil for the current plus one position traded during the month of December
2024 was RM4,965.50 per tonne. At the price given, the harvesting rates payable for the
month of February, 2025 will be those applicable to price zone “Above RM2,300-RM2,400
(inclusive)” in accordance with the above Agreement.

Accordingly, the price bonus payable for the month of February, 2025 at the above price
is RM9.70 per full day’s work per employee.

II. MAPA/NUPW PALM OIL MILL EMPLOYEES’ AGREEMENT, 2024

PALM OIL MILL

The MPOB price for crude palm oil, as indicated above, was RM4,965.50. At this price, the
following rates will apply for the month of February, 2025: -

III. MAPA/NUPW RUBBER TAPPERS’ WAGE AGREEMENT, 2024

RUBBER

In the absence of average daily prices of RSS No. F.O.B. Noon Buyers and SMR L Noon
Buyers price, MAPA and NUPW have agreed, as an interim measure, that the price zone
applicable would be based on the adjusted average price of SMR L Noon Sellers price by using
the factor of 0.892. Accordingly, as the adjusted average price of SMR L for the month ended
21st January 2025 was 1,025.73 sen per kg., the price zone applicable is above 400/420 sen
per kg. (inclusive). At this price, the following rates will apply for the month of February, 2025:-

1. TAPPERS:

(a) The Basic/task RM24.00


= RM33.00 per task
Price Bonus/task RM9.00

(b) The Incentive Payment for High Yielding Fields for each kg. above 15kg./task (dry)

FRINGE BENEFITS AGREEMENT, 2024

FIELD AND OTHER GENERAL EMPLOYEES

1. FIELD EMPLOYEES:

Basic Wage RM65.38 per day worked


Palm Oil Price Bonus RM 4.00 per day worked

2. OTHER GENERAL EMPLOYEES:


(Other than Field Employees and Rubber Factory Employees)

As the monthly-weighted average price for crude palm oil for the current plus one
position traded during the month of December 2024 was RM4,965.50 per tonne, the
price bonus payable for the month of February, 2025 is RM4.00 per day worked.

3. RUBBER FACTORY EMPLOYEES:

Based on the adjusted average price of SMR L (Noon Sellers price) for the month
ended 21st January 2025 which was 1,025.73 sen per kg as indicated above, the price
bonus payable to rubber factory employees for the month of February, 2025 is RM9.00
per day.

V. MINIMUM WAGES ORDER (MWO) 2024:

The following minimum wages under the MWO 2024 shall apply to the employees
covered by the above Agreements. They are also entitled to price bonus of RM4.00 per day
worked except oil palm harvesters, loaders and rubber tappers. The rates are as follows: -
