Day 1
We will dedicate the first day to the iconic sights of the city.
Starting with The Louvre. You must have heard of the famous Mona Lisa’s smile. It is at this
museum that you can behold the painting by Leonardo da Vinci. Entry is for $24. If you want
to save time, buy tickets online in advance to skip the long lines. Consider a guided tour of
the museum for a richer experience.
Spend at least two hours here, and if you’re an art enthusiast, you can stay here for even
longer. Arrive by 9 am to capture gorgeous photos without the crowds. The museum opens
till 9 PM.
Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel is a lovely addition to your Louvre experience! This arch is
a beautiful tribute to Napoleon’s victories. The intricate sculptures and reliefs are perfect for
photographs.
From this place, take a 10-minute walk to Marcel 3. After a lot of walking, recharge yourself
at this eatery. Expect to spend about $20-$30. While their menu has a lot of options, you
must definitely try their avocado toast and quinoa salad.
A 10-minute walk from this place will take you to Jardin du Palais-Royal. These stunning
gardens are favorite among instagrammers. Snap photos at the striking black-and-white
striped columns of the Colonnes de Buren.
Another 10-minutes and you will reach Jardin des Tuileries. Take a leisurely stroll and
enjoy picturesque views. The gardens are free to enter!
In the late afternoon, stroll down the legendary Champs-Élysées. We already know this is a
shopper’s paradise; so indulge into some luxury shopping if you want to. While shopping is
totally your call; make sure to stop at Ladurée for their famous macarons—this experience is
a must!
After shopping, head to the picturesque Pont Alexandre III. The intricate details and
stunning backdrop of the Eiffel Tower make this place unforgettable.
There is no better site than the legendary Eiffel Tower to wrap your day. Enjoy the sunset
with a glass of champagne from the second-floor observation deck of this tower.
Tickets cost between $24 and $38 USD, depending on how far you go up. Be sure to book in
advance to skip the lines!
Feeling hungry? If you are in for a chic seafood restaurant, enjoy dinner at Girafe with a
terrace overlooking the tower. You will spend around $80-$100 per person. In case you want
to feast on classic French cuisine, Linette could be your best choice. Expect to spend about
$60-$80 here. Reservations are a must for both!
Say Goodmorning to Paris by catching the sunrise from the Trocadéro gardens. Enjoy the
stunning views of the Eiffel Tower in the soft light. The entry is free but make sure to arrive

nighttime photography!

incomplete without coffee and pastries. The shop is just across from Notre Dame.
A must-try is a pistachio tart.
Now, stroll over to the Notre Dame Cathedral. The building is still under restoration from the
2019 fire, but it is worthy of being appreciated for its magnificent Gothic architecture, even if
it is from outside. Spend a moment to learn about the restoration efforts through informative
displays.
Enjoy the surrounding Seine views and stunning landmarks like Hôtel de Ville as you make
your way to the Latin Quarter.
You know you are in the Latin Quarter when the narrow streets and historic charm surround
you. Enjoy lunch at one of the fancy restaurants. Indulge in eggs, ham, and cheese crepe to
fill your appetite.
You can grab a meal for $18 at an inexpensive restaurant, but for a three-course meal at a
mid-range restaurant, expect to pay $55 for two.
After lunch, you may feel a bit lazy. So head to the beautiful Luxembourg Garden to relax
amongst greenery and the stunning Medici Fountain.
If you love modern art, make a stop at the Pompidou Centre. Tickets cost around $19.
Next stop is the Marais District. Discover art galleries and boutiques. A must-stop is the
Picasso Museum. Entrance is around $14, and the collection is impressive.
As the afternoon rolls in, head towards Place des Vosges. It is the oldest planned square in
Paris. Grab a coffee or a light snack from an elegant cafe and enjoy people-watching and
appreciating the beautiful surrounding architecture.
Explore the iconic Sainte-Chapelle. This gothic chapel is known for its stunning stained glass
windows. The late afternoon light through the glass is breathtaking. Tickets cost $12 and
timings are 9 am to 5 PM.
As the evening approaches, take a scenic stroll along the Seine, perhaps crossing the Pont
des Arts. The city lights begin to twinkle, setting the perfect mood the night ahead.
For dinner, dive into the bustling atmosphere of the Bastille area. Here, you will see so many
bistros and brasseries. Enjoy a traditional French meal—maybe coq au vin or duck confit.
Expect to spend around $40 for a nice meal with wine included.
Then, have a delightful cultural experience at the Opéra Garnier. Catch a ballet or opera
performance if time allows. Make sure to check their schedule online and secure tickets in
advance.
