3-3.Sample Height Sensor Position Adjustment

3.3.1. Preparations for Adjustment


① Prepare a Philips screwdriver.

② Use a Philips screwdriver to remove


the six screws holding the top cover
in place.

3.3.2. Sample Height Sensor Position Adjustment

① Turn on system power while pressing to enable the TEST MODE. Go


to the MECHA CHECK screen, move the cursor to ALL SET HOME and press
OK.

② Load the designated AIA-360 sample cups in positions 1 through 12 and the
sample container Test Tubes in positions 13 through 24 of the turntable
sample holder.
*Make sure to firmly press each one intoplace.

Press sample cups firmly into place.

Positions 13 to 24

through the sample holder slits.

③ Go to SPECIAL MENU →EXAM. MENU, select SAMPLE SENSOR 25 and


press OK to run the read test. (This prints out the read test results.)

(The carousel begins to rotate and the sample containers are automatically read.
The lower half of the screen displays information, including the read OK and read
error counts, together with the information read.)

(UP=S103, DN=S104,1=ON (sample detect) and 0=OFF (sample detect error))


“DN (S104) only=1:count value”=(recognized as sample cup with count of 250 or more)

“UP, DN (S103, 104) both=1:count value”=(recognized as test tube with count of 250 or more)

(Reference values) ① Test Tube count: 300 or more


② Sample cup count: 400 or more

・Read values must conform to the following:


1) Empty position :UP0:(10 or less), DN0:(10 or less)
2) Test Tube :UP1:
(300 or more),DN1:(300 or more)
3) AIA designated sample cup :UP0:(10 or less), DN1:(400 or more)
・READ OK COUNT (successfully read) must be 12, for the samples.
・READ NG COUNT (read failure) must only occur once, for position No. 25.
(Recognition errors may not occur when reading position No. 25. This position
does not contain a sample cup or sample container detection tool.)
・No errors can occur in the information read.

*(Confirm that the sensor lamp (Green) is on during reading operations. Failure
to light up indicates an electrical fault in the system. Therefore check that
connector is properly installed and there are no disconnected lines, then retry
the reading operation.)

④ When the reading system failures occur, turn off the system power and loosen
the two screws securing the sample sensor. Then adjust sensor position by
changing mounting angle.
*(The sensor is designed to be set at a right angle to the left side.)

forward-backward
direction.

3.3.3. Checking the position after adjustment


① After the sample sensor position has been adjusted, check the position by
performing read operations again, using the steps described in sections “3.3.2.
① to ③.” Confirm that all sample container Test Tubes and sample cups are
read normally.

② Replace the top cover and the substrate bottle holder.
