# 1. Opening and Saving Files


1. Open Microsoft Word.
2. Click File > Open, browse for the given file (e.g., .rtf, .docx).
3. Save it in your work area:
- Click File > Save As.
- Choose the correct format (.docx if required).
- Rename the file as instructed.
4. Take a screenshot showing the file name and type.
5. Paste the screenshot into your Evidence Document.

# 2. Adding Headers and Footers


1. Click Insert > Header.
2. Type the required text (e.g., Document Title, Name, Date).
3. Align it as per instructions (center, left, or right).
4. Click Insert > Footer.
5. Add:
- Automated page numbers: Click Page Number > Bottom of Page >
Left/Right.
- Your name and class.
6. Click Close Header & Footer.

# 3. Formatting Paragraph Styles


1. Open the Styles Pane (Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S).
2. Click New Style.
3. Set the following:

To insert an image:
1. Place the cursor where the image should appear.

To format an image:
1. Resize:

- Top & Bottom (if text should be above and below).
- Drag the image to the correct position.
4. Align:
- Click Picture Format > Align and select Right, Left, or Center.

# 7. Sorting a List Alphabetically


1. Select the list.
2. Click Home > Sort (A-Z).
3. Choose Ascending (A-Z) or Descending (Z-A).
4. Click OK.

# 8. Applying Bullet Points or Numbering


1. Select the list.
2. Click Home > Bullets.
3. Choose the correct bullet style (e.g., Star, Dots).
4. Ensure:
- Bullets are left-aligned.
- No extra spaces before/after each line:
- Click Paragraph Settings (Ctrl + Shift + P) and set spacing to 0 pt.

1. Change font & size:
- Select text.
