Gilli Danda (Karra Billa)

Game Overview:

Gilli Danda is a traditional Indian sport where players use a small stick (gilli) and a longer stick
(danda) to strike and send the gilli flying. The objective is to hit the gilli as far as possible and
score points based on distance.

Team Formation:

●​ Each team consists of 6 members.​

●​ Each team gets 12 chances in total (2 chances per player).​

Rules:

*Each player gets two chances to hit the gilli.​


*The gilli must be struck and sent as far as possible. The distance will be measured for​
scoring.​
*If an opponent catches the gilli in the air, the striker is out immediately.​
*there will be a boundary set by the umpire – if a player hits beyond the boundary, they are
out.​
*The team’s total score will be the sum of all individual distances recorded.​
*The team with the highest total distance will be declared the winner.
Gunny Bag Race

🔹 About the Game:​
Participants must jump forward while standing inside a gunny bag, racing to the finish line. The
first to cross the finish line wins!

📜 Rules:
1.​ Participants must stay inside the gunny bag at all times.​

2.​ No stepping out or holding the bag from outside.​

3.​ Jumping forward is the only movement allowed.​

4.​ The first participant to cross the finish line win.

Lemon & Spoon Race


📅 Date & Time: April 5, 2025 | 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM​
📍 Venue: OAT, IIT Tirupati​
🏆 Exciting Prizes for Winners!
🔹 About the Game:​
Participants must balance a lemon on a spoon while running toward the finish line. The
challenge is to reach first without dropping the lemon!

📜 Rules:
1.​ The spoon must be held in the mouth (no hands).​

2.​ If the lemon falls, the participant must start from the beginning.​

3.​ Running too fast and dropping the lemon results in disqualification.​

4.​ The first three participant to reach the finish line win.
Tug of War
📅 Date & Time: April 5, 2025 | 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM​
📍 Venue: OAT, IIT Tirupati​

🔹 About the Game:​
Two teams will compete in a test of strength, pulling a thick rope in opposite directions. The
team that pulls the rope past a certain point wins!

📜 Rules:
1.​ Each team will have 6 members (Mixed teams allowed).​

2.​ The match is won when a team pulls the rope past the centerline.​

3.​ No sitting or kneeling on the ground while pulling.​

4.​ Teams must pull together – no jerking or sudden releases.
