1. INTRODUCTION:

With the formation of the State of Telangana, this University came into existence on
22.11.2014. Among others, this University offers Post-graduate education in the faculty of
Veterinary Science. The M.V.Sc. degree programme is offered at College of Veterinary
Science, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.

2. NUMBER OF SEATS:

34 seats are available for regular students and 10 seats for In-service candidates from the
State Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Department for the academic year 2024-25 for
admission into M.V.Sc. degree programme as shown in ANNEXURE-I. Admissions are
based on ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2024 examination ranks for regular candidates. In-service
candidates who are qualified in ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2024 may directly apply to the Director,
Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Department, Telangana State who in turn will communicate
the list of selected candidates. The details of seats available in various major fields of study
are as shown in Annexure I. Local area reservations shall be as per G.O. Ms. No. 15 dt.
27.2.2025 of Higher Education Department of Government of Telangana.

3. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Candidates seeking admission into M.V.Sc. course must have passed the relevant
Bachelor’s Degree examination from any institution recognized by VCI with a minimum
OGPA of 6.00 out of 10.00 (5.00 out of 10.00 in case of SC/ST/PH categories).

Candidates who are already prosecuting M.V.Sc. are eligible to apply for PG admission
in another discipline. But stipend paid to the student along with interest will be recovered
and his/her earlier admission shall stand cancelled irrespective of stage of standing.
However such candidates are eligible for stipend in fresh course.

4. AGE:

The upper age limit is 40 years for regular candidates and 45 years for In-service
candidates, as on 01-07-2024.

5. SELECTION CRITERIA:

Selection of candidates for admission into M. V. Sc. Courses shall be based on ICAR –
AIEEA (PG) 2024 ranks under the streams of Veterinary Science, Animal Science and
Animal Biotechnology with independent 100 point roster issued by Govt. of Telangana.

Allocation of seats in different departments shall be done as per the procedure given below:

 As Number of seats in all departments in each stream put together are small, common roster
system for all departments in each stream will be followed.

 The seats shall be reserved in favour of SC, ST, BC, as follows: 15% to Scheduled Caste (SC),
10% to Scheduled Tribes (ST), and 29% to Backward Classes (BC). Reservation to BC will be
further divided as follows; BC-A 7%, BC-B 10%, BC-C 1%, BC-D 7%, and BC-E 4% and
EWS 10% will be over and above the available seats.

 33 1/3 % seats will be reserved horizontally for women (in each category i.e. OC, BC, SC, ST)
and 5% of seats to differently- abled candidates.

 Top ranker as per merit and eligibility in the concerned stream (Veterinary Science/Animal
Science/ Animal Biotechnology) will be called first and he/she will be offered a seat in his
chosen discipline as per availability and the same will be continued in descending order of the
rank.

 Top ranker as per merit and eligibility will be selected against open category to the extent of
available OC seats. On completion of OC quota counselling, if 33 1/3 % women have not been
selected then the last male candidate(s) required to fulfill 33 1/3 % women quota will be
substituted with eligible women candidates by merit in descending order.

 After filling up all OC seats by merit and also fulfilling 331/3 % women quota for OC seats,
subsequent candidates will be selected against their respective social category as per merit and
eligibility i.e. SC, ST, BC-A to E categories.

 The seats will be allocated to the categories as per the roster prescribed by the Government
vide GO Ms No 196, GAD (Ser) Dept, dt: 28.05.2016 and amended from time to time, duly
continuing from the previous academic year last cut off point.

 On completion of counselling for a programme, if 33 1/3 % of women are not selected on the
total number of seats in each social category (BC-A to E, SC, ST), then the lowest ranking
male candidate in that category will be substituted with the next ranking eligible female
belonging to that category till the 33 1/3 % quota is fulfilled.

 In case of more than 01 seat in a category, the decimal point after division of number of seats
by 33 1/3 % will be rounded off to next whole number if equal to or more than 0.5.

 In case of a category getting only one seat in a particular year, selection will be done as per
merit and eligibility i.e. either Men or Women candidate may get selected, as fraction is less
than 0.5.

 Candidates applying for admission should appear for counselling at their own cost.

 Selected candidates shall have to produce all necessary original certificates including those of
educational qualifications, ICAR – AIEEA (PG) 2024 admit card and rank card, pay the
prescribed fee and register the courses at the College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar by
the prescribed date. Failure to do so entails forfeiture of claim for the seat.

6. ENCLOSURES TO THE APPLICATION:

The application form is to be submitted on Google Form. Candidates shall upload the
following certificates along with the application. Documents uploaded to the application shall be
of PDF format only and shall not be more than 1 MB in size. Candidates shall ensure the
legibility of the documents before uploading. The documents which are not clear shall not be
considered and candidates will not be called for counselling. Candidates shall enclose the
designated documents at the respective columns in the application form. Improper filling/
uploading of documents shall be treated as invalid.

a) ICAR – AIEEA(PG) 2024 admit card and rank card

b) Transcript of marks of qualifying (B.V.Sc. & A.H. level) examination.

c) Provisional/Original degree certificates of the qualifying examination.

d) Certificate showing the formula for conversion of OGPA/CGPA into marks in respect of
candidates who passed their examination from universities other than PVNRTVU, S.V.
Veterinary University and A.N.G.R Agricultural University.

e) 10+2 (Intermediate) marks memo

f) Transfer/Migration certificate from the institute last studied

g) Study Certificates from the Heads of Institutions for the study from 6th class to Intermediate
II year or Nativity Certificate and a certificate from the employer as the case may be. Those
who have a break in the years of study for reasons other than failure or those who passed
the examination by private study should submit certificates to that effect.

h) Nativity Certificate issued by the competent authority.

i) Social and Economic Status Certificates issued by the competent authority of Telangana
state in case of candidates belonging to BC/SC/ST/EWS. The admissions given under this
quota shall be provisional till the genuineness of the social status claim of the candidate is
certified by the respective Departments of the Government.

j) Date of birth certificate or S.S.C. / 10th class / equivalent exam certificate where date of
birth is recorded.

k) Candidates already employed shall submit No Objection Certificate from their employer.

 l) Fee payment receipt for an amount of Rs. 900 in case of SC/ ST/ PH and Rs. 1800 in case
of all other category candidates may be paid through SBI collect towards Application Fee.

m) There is no concession in application fee for Non-Telangana applicants irrespective of their
category.

n) Any valid government ID proof.

Note: If any of the required certificates are not enclosed, the candidature will not be
considered for counselling. All the originals of above certificates should be produced at
the time of counselling and submitted to the college at the time of admission.

7. HOW TO APPLY:

The application shall be submitted in the form of Google form.

All the necessary enclosures shall be uploaded in PDF format ONLY (< 1MB) on or before
07-04-2025 by 5.00 p.m. Google form applications shall not be accepted after the due date.

8. GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS:

 Candidates admitted into M.V.Sc programme should not be on the active rolls of
employment of Government or University or any other organization (private or public)
while fulfilling the minimum residential requirement of the course.

 Candidates admitted into M.V.Sc programme should not register for any other
degree/diploma programme concurrently on regular or part-time basis either in this
University or in any other University/Educational Institution.

 Candidates who were withdrawn from M.V.Sc course in PVNR TVU for not maintaining
minimum OGPA should seek admission afresh based on ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2024 rank.

 Candidates who joined M.V.Sc course in PVNRTVU but could not complete the
requirement and applying again shall appear based on ICAR-AIEEA (PG) 2024 rank for
counselling. However, stipend if any paid earlier shall be recovered in full with interest
prior to admission.

 All admissions shall be deemed as provisional and subject to further scrutiny. The
admission shall be liable for cancellation without notice at any stage during the period of
study if it is found that his/her admission is, in some way repugnant to the rules/ regulations

 or invalid by reason of incorrect or false information furnished by the applicants or their
parents/guardians at the time of admission. Any cancellation of admission shall not exclude
penal action under the relevant rules/law.

 University reserves the right to cancel or vary any of these rules without prior notice.

 Based on the ICAR – AIEEA (PG), 2024 ranks, a merit list of qualified candidates for three
streams i.e. Veterinary Science, Animal science and Animal Biotechnology will be prepared
separately and displayed on the University Website.

 Counselling will be conducted for allotment of regular seats only in subjects based on the
ICAR – AIEEA (PG) 2024 ranks as per reservation policy of Government of Telangana.
The decision of university is final in this regard.

 The candidates sponsored by Industry are exempted from appearing in entrance test.

 The ICAR quota seats if remain vacant shall be filled by University with fresh candidates
belonging to Telangana State, who appeared for entrance test. However, stipend will not be
provided to the candidates selected for these seats.

 Only residents of Telangana State are eligible for admission under reserved seats.

 The candidates selected during 1st counselling including in-service candidates and
candidates with Loss of Pay/ Extraordinary Leave have to admit themselves on date of
registration failing which his/ her admission shall stand cancelled.

 Candidates shall visit the University website (www.tsvu.edu.in) from time to time for the
updates and no personal communication shall be sent to the applicants in this regard.

9. SEATS OFFERED FOR INDUSTRY SPONSORED CANDIDATES

 All Indian nationals are eligible for admission under industry sponsored quota.

 The sponsoring industry should have been registered with the Government and is active for
the last 5 calendar years preceding the year of admission.

 Sponsoring industry must have filed income tax returns for previous 3 financial years.

 The candidate must have put in a minimum of two complete years of service by the time of
notification as evidenced by Form 16 issued by the sponsoring industry, pay slips, EPF
statements and IT returns for the relevant period.

 The candidate should seek admission in the discipline relevant to the sponsoring industry
activities only.

 The fee for the sponsoring candidate shall be borne by the sponsoring industry and it shall
be Rs. 80,000/- per semester in addition to the regular fee. Each industry can sponsor only
one candidate.

 The candidate is exempted from taking the entrance examination. However the other
eligible criteria will remain same.

 The candidate shall not be eligible for any kind of financial assistance from University.

 Sponsored candidates shall submit the Google form application
