Course Goal

● The aim of the course is to provide knowledge about field


management and functional requirements of farm machinery.
● The other objective of this course is to provide a brief overview of
farm structures.

Knowledge and understanding


For a passing grade the student must be able to independently analyse and evaluate the
parameters influencing the function and efficiency of tillage, planting, plant protection, and
harvesting equipment.

For a passing grade the student must be able to:
● set a standard disc plough and harrow,
● calibrate a boom sprayer,
● perform group assignments and present them orally and in writing.

Course evaluation

● Assessment of the course will be based on continuous assessment


(CA) and end of course (semester) examination.
● CA will account for 30 % and final examination 70% of the overall
mark.
