Abstract

The Grant Management Portal is a web-based system designed to streamline and automate
the entire lifecycle of grant management—from application and evaluation to approval, fund
disbursement, and monitoring. It serves as a centralized platform for both grant providers
(typically government departments or organizations) and grant seekers (such as individuals,
NGOs, institutions, or businesses) to interact efficiently.

The portal supports various types of grants and ensures transparency, accountability, and ease
of tracking through digitized workflows and document handling. Key features include user
registration, role-based access, application submission, document uploads, evaluation
workflows, automated notifications, and detailed reporting.

This system aims to eliminate manual processes, reduce delays, ensure compliance, and
provide a user-friendly interface to improve the experience for all stakeholders involved in
the grant distribution and management process.

2. Introduction
In today's fast-paced digital world, data plays a crucial role in shaping decisions and
strategies across industries. With the exponential growth of data, organizations are
increasingly relying on data analysis tools to extract meaningful insights and improve
operational efficiency.

Power BI, developed by Microsoft, is one of the leading business analytics tools used for
visualizing data and sharing insights across an organization. It helps in transforming raw data
into interactive dashboards and Business Intelligence reports.

This project, “Data Analysis Using Power BI,” aims to explore and demonstrate the
potential of Power BI in analyzing large datasets. The focus is on understanding how various
visualization tools and data modeling techniques in Power BI can help in generating valuable
insights for businesses.

The project highlights:

 The importance of data analysis in decision-making.

 The role of Power BI as an effective data visualization tool.
 A hands-on approach to working with real-time data to generate insightful
dashboards.

.
3. Profile Defination :
3.1 Objective of project

To perform effective data analysis and visualization using Power BI to uncover

actionable insights that help in better decision-making, performance tracking, and
strategic planning.

 Develop hands-on experience through real-time dashboards and use cases.
 Encourage self-learning through problem-solving and data-driven thinking.
3.2 Existing Manual system
Before the integration of advanced data analytics tools like Power BI, many organizations
rely on manual methods for handling and analyzing their data. These systems are often
paper-based or spreadsheet-dependent, and come with several limitations that affect
efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making.

 Data is collected from different departments and manually entered into spreadsheets (like
Microsoft Excel).

 Reports are prepared manually using static tables and basic charts.

 Data cleaning (handling missing values, duplicates, etc.) is done by hand, which is time-
consuming and error-prone.

 Analysis is limited to basic functions (e.g., SUM, AVERAGE, PIVOT TABLE).

 Sharing insights involves emailing bulky files or printed reports to stakeholders.

3.3 Proposed System

To overcome the challenges and limitations of the existing manual system, this project
proposes the development and implementation of an automated, interactive, and intelligent

11. Conclusion
The Grant Management Portal is a comprehensive, scalable, and efficient digital platform
designed to streamline the end-to-end lifecycle of government grants—from application to
approval, disbursement, and monitoring. It addresses the critical challenges of manual
paperwork, delays in fund allocation, lack of transparency, and ineffective monitoring.

By implementing automated workflows, role-based access control, real-time dashboards, and

audit trails, the portal ensures accountability, data integrity, and operational efficiency. It
empowers stakeholders including departments, NGOs, and auditors by offering an intuitive
interface and centralized access to information.

Looking ahead, the proposed future enhancements like PFMS integration, AI-based
analytics, mobile access, and multilingual support will further enrich the system’s
capabilities, making it more inclusive, data-driven, and user-friendly.

While there are some initial limitations like internet dependency and integration complexity,
the long-term benefits far outweigh these, positioning the portal as a transformative tool in
public fund management.
