CONTENTS
1. Overview 1-1
1. OVERVIEW
This product is a part of the radio link system, and is intended to be connected
with a external antenna.
After the installation, the system should be ensured to comply with the relevant
limits for general public exposure specified as basic restrictions or reference
levels in the council Recommendation 1999/519/EC.

Procedure 2-1
2. Ensure not to give any shock to the crates when unloading them.
NOTE: Followings are the handling marks that are usually seen on crates:
1. Unload the drum (crate of Waveguide) using supports, such as ropes, bridge
plate, etc.

BRIDGE PLATE
(wider is better, to capture
both flanges of the drum)
NOTE: If possible, use a crane or a fork lift as well for unloading the drum.
i) Secure the one end of the rope firmly on a strong enough attached part,
such as supporting pole on a track.
ii) Wind a rope around the drum (Waveguide Crate) for twice or more.
iii) Snub the other end of the rope around other supporting pole.
iv) Unload the drum (crate) by loosen the rope end to slide the drum on the
bridge plate.
NOTES:
2. If possible, it is better not to roll the drum. If the drum should be rolled,
keep rolling it straight ahead by adding the equal pressure to both sides
of the drum.

PRIMARY RADIATOR
NOTE: Do not leave the unboxed Primary Radiator outdoor. Keep it indoor to
prevent it from getting wet or water intrusion.
Procedure 2-6
1. Strip off the tape around the upper side of the box.
3. Unbox the dehydrator, accessories, instruction manual, and the packing list,
and place it in a safe place, preferable in the radio room.
Make sure to keep the Packing List properly to inventory items later.
Figure 2-21 Place the Contents in Safe Place
3. If any missing item is/are found, or any differences between the packing list
and delivered items are found, report it to your team leader immediately.
NOTE: Please follow your company’s regulations on your site regarding the
non-conformances.

1. Locate the place where the 19-inch Open Rack is to be installed, and mark
the area on the floor. Square meters of the area to occupy varies depending
on the base of the 19-inch rack to use.
Ensure that the post frames are facing their channel side:

An illustration below shows the typical procedure of marking the area. Measure-
ments are examples:

2. Within the marked area. apply additional markings for bolt holes. Make sure
that the four marked points fit with the holes on the 19-inch Rack base.
To install the racks side by side, allow at least a 50-millimetre space between the
racks.
To install the racks back to back, they should be in the air conditioned room, and
allow also at least a 50-millimetre space between the racks.

8. Measure the space between the attached C-Shape Channel and the top
frame of the rack (L in the illustration below), which will be the length of the C-
Shape Channels connected with the wall-attached C-Shape Channel to hold
the Rack.
Allow to leave at least 530 millimetres between the top frame and the wall, and that
of 300 millimetres for the base plate and the wall.
Add 45 mm to the measured length (L below) when adjusting the C-Shape Channel.

Slotted Angle Bars are to be used to support the Wire-Framed Cable Rack. The C-
Shape Channel can be used as well.
Following shows the typical way of installing the Wire-Framed Cable Rack and Slot-
ted Angle Bars.

NOTE: For the use of the L-Shape Plug, following precautions should be read and be
fully understood to prevent connectors from being damaged.
(1) Protect joint of plug and cable by wrapping the vinyl tape around:
For the IF Cable terminated with the L-Shape Plug, it is strongly recommended to wrap
vinyl tape around the joint of the plug and cable. See below:

The IF Cables are connected at IFL Port of MODEM Card and that of TR UNITs.
Possibly the IF Cables are factory-installed before the shipment, however, due to
using finger screws, those connections may be loosened during the transportation,
and should be ensured before getting the system into service.
The iPASOLINK VR 10 provides cable markers. Use these cable markers, which
allows cables to be easily and be unfailingly identified.
