III. SCHOOL- SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING AND ARCHITECTURE

IV. PROGRAM- BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CHEMICAL ENGINEERING

V. RATIONALE
I believe that the central question of any faith-based planning process: “What is God
calling us to do in and through the ministry at this time?”. This retreat comes from Christians
seeking Christ. Spending time in quiet meditation away from everyday life to deepen our
relationship with God would be the main goal of this proposal. Retreating provides the
students with a welcoming, refreshing ad inspiring environment in which to innovate think
and collaborate.
Christian retreats have been important to spiritual experience and growth. They have
been times of prayer and knowing God’s love and presence. According to Townroe (1986:579)
“ To make a retreat, in the Christian sense , is to seek God and to rest in his presence in a
time set apart for prayer and reflection. In the Constitution Article III, Bill of Rights Section
5 and Republic Act No. 386 Chapter 2, article 19 spokes about religious freedom that no law
shall be made respecting an establishment of religion and prohibiting the free exercise
thereof. The free exercise and enjoyment of religious profession and worship, without
discrimination or preference, shall be forever allowed.
School retreats are an integral part of the life-long-faith information of young people.
They promote systematic, intentional catechesis as a part of the comprehensiveness
evangelization of students. This might be a helpful activity to both course and the school
because it aims to provide experiences for students and/or staff to know, contemplate and
celebrate Jesus. Also retreats, are an integral part of Catholic School life in virtue of retreats
a Christian act.

VIII. IMPACT ASSESSMENT PLAN
As we retreat away from the problems we have, our hearts open up to work that
God wants to do in us. Retreating into nature to restore the soul is not an idea unique to
Christian wilderness therapy; it is the very same work that Jesus did with his disciples. Each of
the students will write and share what they have learned throughout the whole activity and
explain what impact or change it has contributed on their inner and spiritual character.

IX. END-OF-ACTIVITY

This proposal titled “ Proposal for Christian and Retreat Activity” is created to let
the participants free from negativity for a while to lose some bad vibes and
reconnect thyself to God to improve inner character for a healthier spiritual and
mental well-being. The teacher/ instructors will be the facilitator to assess, guide
and to secure each students safety. Some Priests and catechist will be invited to
help implement the program , they will also share some Godly-stories and
experiences to reflect on. The students of BSCHE 1 blk. 2 will be the participants
for this outreach program. From December 1 to 4 is the scheduled start and end of
the retreat, within the 4 days 5 activities will be held. The first day will target
discipline and mindfulness character while the second day will test the creativity
and ability of the students then at the end of the 4 steps of spiritual development
there will be a self-application and reflection to be assessed by NSTP-CWTS 1
instructors. The cost of this 4-days outreach program will be around 2500-3000
including the transportation, lodging and token fee. The food and snacks will be
provided after collecting the registration fee of students. After the day of arrival
will be the start of program, the first day has two activities which is the Global
prayer explosion, this explains to get the students thinking outside of their own
experience, consider a retreat that introduces few focus countries. Spend time
learning about those cultures and praying for missionaries and the movement of
God’s spirit in those places. Next is the Heart Cultivation, this would be listening
program using the parable of the soil and other verses, your retreat can focus
cultivating he heart with God’s word to produce good, strong roots and the fruit
of the spirit. The next 2 activities for Day 2 are Recipe for righteousness and
Energize to serve, this two are some fun activities like blind fold games and sack
race to test teamwork skills. It includes silly strength building competitions but
incorporate faith-building exercises. The whole program is a way for refreshment
over negative and toxic vibes/environments.
