⚫ Damaged upper and lower terminals wear, distortion or cracking of the upper or
lower terminals.
⚫ The length of a ferrule-secured sling should not differ from the nominal length by
more than 2 rope diameters or 1%, whichever is greater.
⚫ The length of a spliced sling should not differ from the nominal length by more
than 4 rope diameters or 2%, whichever is greater.
⚫ Rope wear: - 10% of the nominal rope diameter (d).
⚫ Ferrule diameter (2 times diameter of rope). RESULT
