Department of Mechanical Engineering has continuous interaction with various industry and
research organizations at several levels in order to continuously improve the teaching
learning process, fill the industry-academia gap, etc.

1. Being an affiliated college to SCTE & VT Odisha, Capital Engineering College
follows the Diploma curriculum provided by SCTE & VT Odisha. While designing
the curriculum SCTE & VT includes industry experts in BoS.

strengthening interaction with industries and to keep students updated with the latest

D. Industrial training/ internship (5)


Students are encouraged to take up industrial training/ internship programs during their
semester break. Faculty members provide their guidance, suggestions, contact and reference
for enrolling Industrial training/ internship. Also, Mechanical Engineering Department
entered in to MoU with few industries for conducting internship. Help of department alumni
also taken for enrolling students in to internship.

E. Post training/ internship Assessment (10)


Post-Training/Internship Assessment is a critical step in evaluating the effectiveness of
training programs or internships. It helps in evaluating learning outcomes, identifying
skill gaps, providing feedback, measuring program effectiveness and for guidance in
career planning.
Department of Mechanical Engineering follows a robust mechanism for assessing

F. Contribution to Community related projects/activities (05)


All the Final year projects or other projects carried out in Department of Mechanical
Engineering are decided in synchronisation with the POs. Before selecting the project
