Using Selection Tools

While doing any work in a document or before giving any command, we

have to choose the object, picture, text or any part of it on which that work
will be done. That thing is more important when working in Photoshop and
before doing any work it is necessary to choose exactly the part of the
picture on which you want to do that work. The result of the work will also
be wrong due to wrong selection.
There are many methods or tools available for selection in Photoshop, so
that you can make the correct selection of only the desired part. Any
command applies only to a selected area, meaning you can edit only a
selected part of the canvas. That is the active part. If you want to give a
command that is applicable to any other part or to the whole canvas, then
either you should make a new selection or by clicking on an empty space
with the selection tool or with control D (Ctrl+D) Pressing should remove
the selection.

There are mainly three selection tools available in Photoshop:

Marquee Tools, Lasso Tools and Magic Wand. With the help of the in tools,
you can select from the whole picture to a single pixel. In addition to these
there are three other selection tools available: Move Tool, Crop Tool The
picture below shows all the selection tools and their pop-up menus.

of your computer's RAM is large enough to handle them. If the format of the
file is .psd i.e. Photoshop has its own format, then you can open the file by

photo, a flower from a bouquet or a tree from
a scene.

This type of selection can be done with the

help of Lasso tool. In this, it is very important
