The company introduced a new version 7.0 in the market, many changes
were made to it, and some new features were added, many templates were
given to prepare the publication of any page, which is the first page when you
start PageMaker. Can see.
1. Several toolbars were added for the first time (you can read about below .)
2. Option to save file, print, text formatting and check spelling were also
given.
3. Clip art option has also been added in PageMaker 7.0, like clip art in MS
Word, Power Point, so that you can insert clip art in any PageMaker
document.

You must have read about Photoshop Corel Draw before this, in which you have
been told about all the tools. We cannot use the software without tools, so the
functions of all the tools are different. If you are familiar with all the tools of Corel
Draw, then you will find it very easy to understand the tool of PageMaker because
except for only 3 tools, all the other tools are present in Corel Draw which you can
read in Corel Draw Key Tool Note.
6. Polygon Tool With the help of Polygon Tool, you can create a star-like
shape and double-clicking on this tool opens the option of setting the
polygon, in which you can give a new look to the shape with the help of
number of sides and star inset.
7. Hand Tool is used to move the page with its help. And if you do not want to
use this tool again and again, then you can move the page with the mouse
by pressing the Alt button of the keyboard.

8. Text Tool is used to write text in PageMaker with its help. After taking the
tool, you will see all the formatting in the Control Palette, so that you can
format your text and set a new style. Or you can set the style by double
clicking on this tool.
9. Crop Tool is used to crop the inserted jpg, bmp and png images with its
help.
10. Strat and Smooth Line is used to draw lines in any angle with its help, but
in this a better and smoother line is drawn than the free line, as well as its
angle remains at an angle of 450 900.
12. Zoom Tool This tool is used to enlarge the page. You can also do this
through ctrl+space like in photoshop.

9. Acquire Acquire of Bitmap jpg in this program with High Resolution If any image
in any Pmd document is to be taken through any scanner camera, then
select the file menu option for this, after selecting the image can be
inserted through Acquire option.
10. Export It is used to export any type of PMD file to various types of PDF
webpage and graphic related files.
11. Link Manager Shift+Ctrl+D Used to display the contents of any BMP and JPG
files brought onto the document.
12. Document Setup Shift+Ctrl+D Any inserted page is used to set its own size,
margin gesture and page numbering.
14. Print Ctrl+P Through this any PMD file are printed.
15. Preference>General the printers on any PMD document are used to display
the inserted JPG and BMP files in high resolution according to the DPI.
16. Send Mail Use to send the currently open publications to someone else by
electronic mail.
17. Exit Ctrl+Q through this option, you can exit or close the pagemaker.

6. Select All Ctrl + A Through this, all types of photos text objects are used to
select the complete publication.
7. Deselect All Shift+Ctrl+A Use to remove the selection of any selected text
photos or objects.
9. Paste Special: Any photos object or text can be copied from any other
software and pasted by setting the format with the help of Paste Special in
PageMaker.
10. Insert Object Through this, any object, plain text, barcode, calendar or any
excel, powerpoint file is used to insert it from any other software.
11. Edit Story Ctrl + E is used to type any document through this and after
typing click on edit layout, on clicking, the cursor will change to the text
cursor, as soon as you click your text will appear on the page. It will take

Indent/tabs They are mostly used to set any paragraph and first line
indent through the ruler bar.
3. Type Style The type style is used to normalize the text, bold italic, etc.
4. Character Ctrl+T Used to set character specification.
5. Paragraph Ctrl+M using this, paragraph specification such as paragraph
spacing alignment, dictionary, etc. can be used.
6. Indents/tab Ctrl+I Use it to set the identity according to the ruler. It can
also be called a tab.

7. Text Wrap (Alt+Ctrl+E) You must have read this option in Microsoft Word,
text wrapping, its function is also the same, text wrapping to any image file
or any object.
10. Lock Position (Ctrl+L) this Option is used to lock any shape or text in its
position so that that shape or text cannot move from that place.
13. Image It is used to give Photoshop effect to the inserted image and to see
the CMS (Color Management System) setting.
14. Polygon Settings With its help, you can increase the number of polygons of
the polygon tool i.e. increase its angle.
15. Rounded Corners With its help, you use the Rectangle Tool to round the
corner.
16. Link Info We use to see the information ie location of the inserted image file,
from where this file is taken on our computer like Desktop, My Picture etc.
17. Link Option With this option, the information of the inserted image file such
as what is the name of the file and in which extension.
Grid Manager Most of them is used to set all the statements written on
the page through red line.
Running Header & Footer This option is mostly used when any type of
text heading is to be used in the header and footer.
Save For Service Provider Use to set any document during publishing.
Note: Find, Find Next, Change, and Spelling These four options will not work
normally, that is, when you edit Story (Ctrl + E) from the Edit Menu, then this
option will become dark i.e. ready to work.
3. Find Next (Ctrl+G) After searching any one word, whether the same word is
in another place or not, if there is the same word in other place, then it will
be selected, if it is not there then it will tell you.
4. Change (Ctrl+H) It is used to replace the searched word. You must have
read in Find Replace MS Word, the name of the same option has been
changed instead of Replace.
7. Index Entry (Ctrl+Y) before printing the book, we use to prepare an index
about the topic of the lesson, most of them are used through the master
page.
8. Show index After that, the added topics are used to start.
10. TOC This means Table of Contents is used to show the book chapters in
one place so that on which page number the printed chapters are in the
book.
11. Define Colors Using this option, we can create, delete and rename any
color.

8. Zoom To This option is used to view a selected object by zooming in full screen.
9. Hide Rulers (Ctrl+R) this option is used to hide the ruler bar.
10. Snap To Rulers (Alt+Ctrl+0) Snap is then after applying the ruler, we can move or

while drawing our object.
11. Hide Guides (Ctrl + ;) Used to hide and show mounted guides.
12. Snap to Guides (Shift+Ctrl + ;) Snap can be used if you want to move any object

16. Hide Scroll Bars Used to hide and show horizontal and vertical scroll bars.
Note: that if the tool that we see in PageMaker is the name of the tool after
"Hide" in the window menu. If the tool is not showing in PageMaker, that is,
on the home screen, it will be written after "Show" the name of the tool or the
name of the dialog box.

5. Hide Control Palette In PageMaker, it is used to hide and bring the control
panel.

11. Plug-in Palettes Just as all the options are used to hide and bring, in the
same way this option also works; five options were given inside it which
can be hide and show.
12. Untitled-1 This name is showing the name of the document, if instead you
save it with your publication name, then the name shows. Its work is
nothing but it shows us which publication is open and the sign tick means
that work is being done on it. If there are many pages open apart from this,
then the list of all will be shown and the work on which the work is being
done will be ticked.

In the main window of Photoshop, you will see its various parts, the
introduction of all the main parts of this window is as follows-
Title Bar
The title bar is at the top of the Photoshop window. In this, the name of the
program and if any file of Photoshop is open then its name is also shown.
On the right edge of this bar are three small buttons: minimize,
maximize/restore and close, which control the size of this window.
Menu Bar

Just below the title bar is the menubar, in which the names of different
menus of Photoshop are given. On clicking on the name of a menu, that
menu opens towards the bottom, in which many commands are given.
Clicking on a command activates that command. If the menu is open, then
pressing the right-left arrow button opens the menu to the right and to the
left.
Below the menu bar is the Tool Options Bar, in which various options are
given about the selected or active tool at any given time. You can make
the best use of that tool by setting these options as desired. As you change
the tool, the look of this bar also changes.
Toolbox
This is the main tool pack of Photoshop which contains tools for all the
functions and features available in Photoshop. At any time one of these
tools is selected. Read more about the tools in the tool box
Palettes
There are many palettes available in Photoshop to help you do your work
well, some of which are as follows-
Toolbox Toolbox, Navigator Navigator, Color Color, Styles Styles, History
History, Layers Layer, Paths Paths
Selection Tools
The tools in this group are used to select the whole or any part of the
picture. A selected part of a picture is shown with a glowing border. If you
click a selection tool and drag the mouse pointer over the picture by
pressing the mouse button, then the part of the picture is selected
according to the tool. With the Magic Wand tool in this group, you can
select parts of the picture by color.
Painting Tools
The tools in this group are used to color the picture. There are many types
of brushes, pencils, erasers, etc., with the help of which you can fill the color
in exactly the same way as is done with real colors. With its Gradient Tool,
you can prepare the background in the shade of one or more colors.

You can create drawings and shapes with the tools in this group. A line is
called a path in Photoshop. You can select any part of a path and change
it as you want. The path tools can be used for both selecting and creating
functions.
Viewing Tools
There are two main tools in this group: Zoom Tool and Hand Tool Zoom tool

Opening a File
In Photoshop, you can open any number of picture files at once, if the size
of your computer's RAM is large enough to handle them. If the format of the
file is .psd i.e. Photoshop has its own format, then you can open the file by
double-clicking its icon. Doing so will start Photoshop and that file will open.
To open any other format file in Photoshop, do the following-

1. Click the Open.... command in the File menu, or press the O (Ctrl+O)
button with Control. This will open the 'Open' dialog box like the picture
given below on your screen.
2. In the Look in drop-down list box, select the name of the drive and folder
containing the file you want to open in Photoshop. This will show in the
middle the names of such picture files available in that folder that you
can open in Photoshop.
3. Select that file's name by clicking it in the middle. By doing this, the
preview of that picture file usually appears in the lower part.
4. Click the Open button. This will open that picture in Photoshop.
Marquee Tool :
Rectangular Marquee and Elliptical

after, its job is that whatever image you have created, you use it to print
on the page to do the setup related to it.
18. Print with Preview Ctrl+P Before printing, see how any image created
will look when it is printed.
19. Print Alt+Ctrl+P used to print the currently open file.
20. Print one Copy Alt+Shift+Ctrl+P Print 1 copy will print only one copy, in
which no setting can be done, whatever the print setting will be at the
last time, it will work on the same.

used to check the spelling like suppose you are writing Adobe
(Photoshop) Photoshop, in this if you have made a mistake in
Photoshop, then replace the o with A, then check it can.
12. Find and Replace text We use this to find any text and there is also the
option of replace in it, so that you can change any written text like we

13. Fill It is used to fill color, pattern history black 50% gray white in the
selected page or selected part with any tool.
14. Stroke The selected area is used to fill the outline color.
15. Free Transform Ctrl+T Transform is used to rotate the photo and adjust
the size. We can use it as we want, if you do not want to go to the menu
to take it, then you can also bring it by right clicking on the view of the
image.
16. Define Brush We use the selected part to keep it as a brush, with the
help of this we can make a brush according to our need.
17. Define Pattern It is used to prepare the pattern like there is a brush
option, in the same way it is also there, in this we can also do it by
making a selection and without selection, the pattern of the whole
image will be made, after selecting or without selection. Click on Define
Pattern, as soon as we click we will get the option to set the name of a
pattern.
18. Define Custom Shape After preparing the shape using it, you can save it
in your Photoshop forever. To use it, we have to make any shape using
pen tool or shape tool, but keep in mind that while drawing, the shape
layers option should be selected in the property bar.
19. Purge With the help of this option, we do to clear the option like Undo
Clipboard History, if once cleared, then it cannot be used again, like
suppose you have a part copy of some image in your clipboard, and
you purge If you click on the clipboard from the option, then it will not be
able to paste again, it will be deleted and if you click on the history in
the same way, then the history will also be deleted.

20. Color Setting Shift+Ctrl+K We use this to keep the color according to us
in Photoshop, by default RGB is selected, you can select the lab color
Cmyk by yourself.
21. Preset Manager You can use it to set your brush.
22. Preference You can set it according to your own custom by customizing
it in Photoshop.
5) Curve With the help of this also, the image can be lightened or
darkened and in this also we can give effect on a particular color
according to the color channel, that is, the change will be seen on
the same color which will be selected from the channel color.
6) Color Balance In this, Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, Red, Green, Blue use
these colors to give effect on the image. In which other colors are
used to darken or lighten the image.
7) Brightness/Contrast In this, we can further highlight the image by
giving brightness or darkness to the image with the help of
brightness and contrast.
8) Hue/Saturation It is used at that time when the color of an image is
light or the color is not looking good, then with the help of saturation,
color can be dissolved in it. The color can be changed from hue. Or if
there is more color in an image, then you can do less than that.
9) Deseturate Through this, you can change the color of any colored
photo taken in Photoshop to black and white.
10) Replace Color Under this also you can mix and dissolve the color.
There will also be the option of Hue Saturation and Lightness. With
which we can select any color of our image and use it, as much as
the color of the image matches, using Hue Saturation will change
only as much as the color was matching.
11) Selective Color Inside it too, you will get to mix according to the
colors, in which if the color of an image is light, then it can be
thickened further with its help.
12) Channel Mixer In this you will get RGB colors in which you can make
the color image different, there is a Monochrome option inside in
which you can make your photo black and white and you can set
how much light you want.
13) Gradient Map In this you can give effect on your taken photo
according to the gradient on your image and you can also reverse it.
It is mostly used for black and white.
14) Invert You can use it to invert the photo, you can also call it negative.
15) Equalize In this, auto sets the brightness and contrast in your image.
16) Threshold In this your photo becomes black and white. It is mostly
used in vector.
17) Posterize In this you can set your image like a poster print.

18) Variations Inside this, you will see photos in many columns, in which
you will get the option of lighter darkening on the right side, in which
you can adjust your image. And there will be a different color mode
in the middle, so that the image can be further adjusted.
3. Duplicate In this you can save the old photo by duplicating your image.
New users start editing with any image, after that when the image
deteriorates, they close it or save it, what happens is that even after
saving a good photo, you will not get it. If you do, then both your new
and old image will be safe.
4. Apply Image With this option, we can change the layer mode of the
image using layer, channel, and blending options on our image.
5. Calculation The above given information is also in the calculation, but
in this, blending of two or more images can be done in a single image.
6. Image Size Under this, you will get the option to reduce the pixel size of
your image and increase the document size, in which you can keep the
image size according to you. If an image is of less pixels then you can
also increase its resolution.
7. Canvas Size In this, we can see the size of the current page taken and
can also increase it.
8. Rotate Canvas In this you can transform your image, that is, you can
rotate it.
9. Crop The marquee tool or any tool is used to crop the selected part,
when we select the image and click on this option, then the rest of the
image will be deleted as much as the selection will remain, only that
part will remain.
10. Trim With its help, we use to delete the extra background in the image,
or if you have taken a layer larger than the background, then clicking on
this option deletes the extra part.
11. Reveal All We use this at that time when a lot of images are placed on
the same pixel and some of the picture has gone up, down, right, left,
then you can see it with the Reveal All option.
12. Histogram With the help of this, the level of the image, pixel etc. is used
to see, it tells us the average intensity according to the color in our
image.

Bevel and Emboss With its help, it is used to apply bevel and emboss
effect on the image. Due to which a 3D effect comes in the image.
Satin With the help of this, the selected layer is used to apply effect in
the middle of the picture.
Color Overlay With its help, the selected picture layer is used to apply
the effect according to the color.
Gradient Overlay It is also used as a color overlay. In this, the
background is used to apply the effect according to the foreground
color or according to the preset color.
Pattern Overlay Its use is also similar to the color and gradient given
above.
Stroke It is also used like outer glow, in this also you can use out side, in
side, and center. In this, you can use gradients and patterns along with
color.
Copy Layer Style When different effects are applied on the layer of any
photo like drop shadow, inner shadow, outer glow, inner glow, bevel and
emboss etc. After applying the effect of all these, copy the same effect
to apply on another layer also. Style is copied by.
Paste Layer Style Used to paste the copied layer style on another layer.
Paste Layer Style to Linked When multiple layers are joined (connected)
in a link, paste them at that stage and use them to apply effects.
Clear Layer Style Used to remove applied layer styles in one click.
Global Light When effects like drop shadow, inner shadow and outer
glow, inner glow are applied to a layer, use Global Light to change its
direction with the help of angle, under this you can change the angle of
shadow inner shadow etc.
Create Layer When clicking on Create Layer after applying effects like

Hide All Effect It is used to hide all the effects applied on the picture.
Scale Effects We use to increase the effect applied through the scale, as
soon as you open it, you will get the option of 1 percentage, by clicking
on which you can increase the effect from 1 to 1000 percent in it.
6. New Fill Layer Solid colors, gradients, and patterns are used when
layering.
7. New Adjustment Layer When inserting a new layer, it is used to make
layer adjustments, inside it there are effects like level, curve, selective

merges the visible layer. If a layer is hidden from the layer box, then that
layer will not be merged.
23. Flatten Image It also works in the same way as Merge Visible, but it

not deleted in the visible but remains hidden.
