AND NEEDS

My Tools

Use the activity form provided for you to document your observations.

An Observation Guide for the CLASSROOM VISIT

2. Describe how they figure out things. Do they comprehend easily? Look for evidence of their thinking skills.

3. Were there opportunities for problem solving? Describe how they showed problem solving abilities.

Learners' Development Matrix

Record the data you gathered about the learners’ characteristics and needs in this matrix. This will allow you to
compare the characteristics and needs of learners at different levels. The items under each domain are by no means
exhaustive. These are just sample indicators. You may add aspects which you may have observed.

My Reflections/Insights

1. While you were observing the learners, did you recall your own experiences when you were their age? What
similarities or differences do you have with the learners you observed?

Yes, I did recall my own experiences at their age because I have the same of that behavior before, when I was in preschool
I used to ask my teacher every questions that bring up to my mind, In elementary I was really good in making friends I
was so friendly from everyone in school even if they are not my classmates, and lastly when I was in high school I can
handle my emotions properly, I can solve some of my problems in my own and independent in some aspects.

2. Think of a teacher you cannot forget for positive or negative reasons. How did she/he help or not help you with your
needs (physical, emotional, social, and cognitive)? How did it affect you?

When I was in high school I had this teacher that I really admired the most because she did not treat us as if we were just a
student to her, rather she showed us that we are everything to her life. She always give us an incredible advice that may
help us to grow independently , she also help me to build a strong confident to face all the challenges in my life she's
always their throughout of it, so in conclusion I can say that I become a better person now because I got a support system
that I needed from the beginning to end of the year.

3. Share your other insights here.

As a future teacher we need to recognize all of our students as well as their differences because it is our duty to improve
their well being and make a strong bond with them, we have to encourage them to continue their studies and learning

My Learning Portfolio

What is your favorite theory of development? How can these guides you as a future teacher?

Clip some readings about this theory and paste them here.

My favorite theory of development is the Cognitive development of Piaget's Theory which is it posits the children
progress through distinct stages of cognitive development, each characterized by unique ways of thinking and
understanding the world, from infancy to adulthood. As a future teacher the Piaget's theory can create a more student-
centered, interactive, and supportive learning environment that fosters cognitive development, critical thinking, and
academic success.
