User and safety
Our website that we are going to be creating will be targeting students that are
enrolled in a IB school around Asia. Therefore the characteristics of our website
will have:
Culture and Religion : The design of the website is respectful of each culture and
religion. Therefore, there will be a limitation of negative in uential comments that
are going to be posted. (This is chosen because as a website and a corporation we
want to respect our users culture and religion.)
Language usage: Considering that students in Asia have di erent language levels,
the website needs to accommodate their english levels to make it inclusive to all of
our audiences. (Asia has around 1857 IB schools and all of them have language
diversity that need to be accommodated for. So out website needs to be inclusive
for all languages possible.)

Technology friendly: Everyone has various kinds of technology equipment which
shouldn’t be their limitation of using this website. Thus our website needs to
include everyone no matter their device. (There is no limitations to what device the
average student can use so to include everyone, our website therefore needs to be
applicable for every student with their chosen device. )
Learning requirements: The design should care and support all levels of learning
needs for IB students, providing resources and tools that are relevant to their
studies. (We acknowledge every student has their errors and their improvements
they want to work on for their studies. So our website needs to cater their needs
and give them what they want.)
In terms of how the users of the website should feel, it should make the student
have motivation to study with the design of the website and how it functions. This
can be achieved by implementing features like:
Visual appeal: The design should be aesthetically pleasing and use engaging so
that it draws the attention to all students no matter their age or grade level.
(Without making the website visual appealing to our audience, it won’t draw the
necessary attention we want and they won’t be using it as often.)
User-centred design: The design should be entered around the needs of the users,
this should increase the user experience and motivation to study.
Personalisation: The design should allow for personalisation, having a basic setting
function to turn the website into dark mode or light mode or to change some
features etc. (Giving the users the option to customise their settings are important
because it gives them the freedom they want.)
