A column gutter is the space between two columns.


A document preset is a definition of a page setup.
A(n) asterisk next to a file's name indicated that the file contains unsaved changes.
CMYK colors are process colors because the inks are blended while printing.
Document settings determine the overall look of a document.
Enabling the dynamic spelling setting will underline misspelled words.
Gradient colors are multiple colors that smoothly transition between each other.

InDesign has templates for print, web, and mobile publications.


Object styles affect the format of an entire graphic frame or text frame.
The default view for any document is the Normal screen mode.
The fill is the interior color of an object, while the stroke is a border color.
The Preview option is a great way to see changes before committing to them.
The three main styles are paragraph, character, and object styles.
The Type tool can select text to apply a paragraph of character style.

To change the color of the ruler guides, users should select Layout on the menu bar and then
select Ruler Guides.
Users can use rulers to change the unit of measurement for an individual file.
Users should link images rather than copy and paste them when adding graphics to a
document.
When users have multiple documents open simultaneously, they should see them listed as tabs
across the top of the window.
With RGB values, numbers can range from zero to 255.
