STEP 1: DOWNLOAD VERACRYPT IN THEIR OFFICIAL WEBSITE

STEP 2: AFTER DOWNLOADING INSTALL VERACRYPT

STEP 3: AFTER INSTALL VERACRYPT RUN IT AND “CREATE VOLUME”


STEP 4: CHOOSE “Encrypt a non-system partition/drive and click next

STEP 5: Select “Standard VeraCrypt volume” if you want a standard set up, if you want your
volume hidden, choose the latter and click next.
Step 6: Select the choose device button, choose the USB drive location where you want to put
your volume file and click next.

Step 7: Select the “Create encrypted volume and format it” option and click next.

Step 8: For a simple set up, just leave everything in default and click next.
Step 9: Since everything is set, just click next.

Step 10: Make your own volume password and make sure do not forget your password
STEP 11: The system presents two choices, asking whether the USB drive will store more than
4GB of data. Select "Yes" if it will exceed 4GB or "No" if it will not. After making your selection,
click the "Next" button to proceed.

Step 12: Wiggle your mouse around until the loading bar fills up, then click format.

Step 13: Your USB drive has encrypted successfully.


To decrypt the volume, you must do the following:

STEP 1: Plug in the encrypted USB drive to your computer and click the “Auto-Mount Devices” button.

Step 2: Type in the password and hit the “ok” button and wait for it to finish processing.
STEP 3: : In your PC’s device and drivers, it will show the previous drive letter and the encrypted drive
letter of your USB drive. The encrypted drive letter is where the files are saved if you wish your files to be
encrypted.

Step 4: To unmount the drive, select the desired drive and press the “unmount” button.
