Computer Servicing System Significance of the Study
Computer Servicing System Significance of the Study
findings will benefit multiple stakeholders. Here's a more detailed explanation of how each
group will gain from the study:
AETII will benefit from an optimized training environment, leading to a more efficient and
organized educational facility. A well-structured computer lab enhances the institution’s
reputation, improves student learning outcomes, and strengthens compliance with accreditation
standards. This, in turn, can help attract more students and boost overall institutional
performance.
2. Students
Students are the primary beneficiaries of an improved computer layout. A well-organized space
enhances accessibility to learning tools, reduces distractions, and fosters a more comfortable and
efficient learning environment. This leads to better engagement, increased productivity, and
improved technical skills, which are crucial for their future careers.
Instructors will experience a more structured and efficient workspace, allowing them to conduct
training sessions with minimal disruptions. An improved layout will make it easier to manage
student activities, access teaching materials, and implement effective instructional strategies.
This leads to a smoother workflow and better overall training delivery.
4. Future Researchers
The study will serve as a reference for future research on training space optimization in
educational institutions. Researchers can use the findings to build upon existing knowledge,
explore further improvements, and develop new strategies for workspace organization.
Additionally, the data and recommendations from your study can guide institutions in
implementing similar enhancements in their training environments.
Overall, optimizing the training space will lead to improved efficiency, better educational
experiences, and long-term benefits for all stakeholders involved.
For this study, several tools were used to analyze the current training area layout at AETII:
• Survey Questionnaire – Adapted from a local study by Maghari et al. (2023) at Rizal
Technological University, the questionnaire assessed the training area's layout,
comfort, and space optimization before and after improvements.
• Tape Measure – Used to gather workspace dimensions for space utilization and
ergonomic considerations.
• Stopwatch & Smartphone – Conducted time studies to analyze workflow
efficiency, tool retrieval time, and workstation accessibility.
• Activity-Relationship Chart & Spaghetti Diagram – Visualized movement patterns
to identify layout inefficiencies.
• SketchUp Software – Created detailed floor plans and 3D visualizations for
optimized workstation and computer placements.
• Total Enumeration Sampling – Included all 25 trainees and 1 trainer, ensuring a
comprehensive assessment of the layout improvements based on actual user
experiences.
